The view from Yukemuri Observation Deck is stunning. You can see the stream rising up from the onsens of Beppu, and the hills and mountains beyond the city rise up like walls that touch the clouds.
There are no bins but plenty of benches on the ground to take a break or observe the view. Then there is an elevated platform to see the view without the fence. Though be aware that the elevated platform has steps and no ramp or lift.

After visiting all of the jigoku onsens, I decided to take a bus and a walk to get to this observation deck, it may not look very special however I was able to have a complete of this side of Beppu despite not being in a high rise tower like Beppu Tower! It's an underrated area and there were only about two other people when I was there.
