REX HOTEL Beppu — Hotel in Beppu

Enjoyed two relaxing nights at Rex with my family. New hotel with spacious rooms, very comfortable bed and soft linen. All rooms are ocean facing with spectacular view, comes with a balcony to sit and enjoy the view and fresh air. The best part is the morning sunrise view from the bed. Just a perfect holiday to relax and unwind. The back view of the hotel is beautiful mountain landscape. Hotel facilities are all brand new and very clean. The rooftop open-air/infinite pool was the best and also comes with great skincare products and amenities. Pleasant and helpful staff. Though they didn't speak English, we communicated via translation device which made it all so simple. ||The location is about 8 minutes ride from Beppu Train Station, or about 20 minutes walk passing through the pleasant neighbourhood. I loved this hotel. The service was great. We arrived 5 minutes past check-in closing due to train delays and they waited for us. We are so greatful. During our stay we saw the staff be very helpful to guest, earnestly helping them with luggage.

The facility is very nice, new building. Large umbrella holder at the front. Shoes off hotel with shoe locker. Wish there was multiple or larger stool for putting on shoes, only had a single small one.

The TV showed how busy the baths/onsen were. Sad that the baths had signs saying no tattoo eventhough it did not state this on their website. Also the sign was a little mean correlating tattoos with criminal activity. For a modern hotel it was surprising. Wasn't too upset since Beppu has many onsen that allow tattoos.
