2nd Street Beppu — Local services in Beppu

Never go to this place! We were waiting outside of this store, as it was raining heavily, and an injured old man came to us. He was bleeding, he hurt his head and was uttering smth as we didn't understand, my friend rushed to the employees of this store, hoping they would help. One man talked to him for a minute, went inside of the store and then 3 employees got out. They told the old man that their store is closed, so they can't call the police or ambulance. If he wants he can go to the Joyful next street. Well, the sense to try telling these to a bleeding injured super old man was smth else. Later, my friend took him to Joyful and they did call an ambulance for him and which was very nice. This incident would traumatize me at least for some more years. Horrible, pathetic,no sense of social responsibility, no empathy. Even if there were some responsibility they wanted to avoid, they still could have called the police....

Incomparable to the bigger ones in Tokyo and other bigger cities, this store does stock trendy clothes. Prices for branded items are expectedly on high side but still at good discounts off new. For a town considered as suburban, the single floor is adequate for 1-2 hours...
