The first time in Chichibu, renting a car to the accommodation was very convenient, and there's a parking lot. However, the parking lot with its Japanese pebble road can be a bit inconvenient for foreign travelers with large luggage. The room, located on the second floor, was impressively clean and comfortable. As you enter the room, the bathroom exudes the delightful scent of hinoki wood, and to my surprise, there's a hinoki wood soaking tub – truly fantastic. The amenities are outstanding, setting it apart from typical Japanese hotels in terms of scent and higher quality. Sleeping at night was a nightmare; there's no soundproofing by the roadside, but with provided earplugs, I still couldn't sleep well. The rooms: pretty good. There's a lot of space per room with a nice bath as well. The only downside is the walls are thin and you're in the middle of town, so light sleepers beware.
Parking: There's parking available at the hotel free of charge. Just make sure you're on the left side of the road. It's the busiest road in town so you'll get caught in traffic...
