The wife and I booked here as we saw it was close to the station and I had traveled here to attend the Mt. Fuji Hill Climb Challenge.
FOR CYCLISTS: The location of the hotel is about 5km from the event start. Downside is there's a slight uphill from the moment you leave the hotel. Hotel itself is bike friendly and I was able to bring my bike into my room. (However, best you choose to FYI/check with the front desk before arriving).
ROOM: Large. Spacious. Clean. Plenty of outlets. Wife and I had 2 large suitcases and a (EVOCC) bike bag. No issues with size/space of the room. We were on the 3rd floor and could see a bit of Mt. Fuji one of the mornings (because clouds let up and it was a clear day). Be advised that just because the hotel markets that you have a Fuji view doesn't guarantee it. They're hotel owners/operators, not weather gods. Manage expectations.
AREA: Keep in mind that the nearest convenience store is a bit far, however, the department store next to the train station does have some basics and a MOS Burger. The kitchen area does have some honor system beer, drinks, ramen and snacks for you to purchase.
OTHERS: We unfortunately arrived late and reception was able to give us super clear instructions on how to open the side door and the code to unlock our room keys. Probably the most hassle free late check in I've ever experienced and that's without a front desk!
All in all would recommend for couples or solo travelers. Personally, I think it is pretty high value for what you get.
Only downside I can think of is there's not as much sightseeing in the area compared to a few stops over in Kawaguchiko Station, but is a quick 10-15 minute...

It was one person that is fluent in English, which was really not common in this area. We booked Fujiyama Onsen pass at the reception and got some help and tips with the taxi to go to Mount Fuji. Tips for people that would like to get a taxi, you should book in advance, because it was really hard to get one. We didn’t get it, but we’re linked to another couple at the hotel that got a taxi, so we could share it. ||The hotel doesn’t clean the room if you stay less than 3 nights, but the bins and towels could be replaced. It was ok for us and eco friendly. The price was low compared to other hotels nearby and doesn’t really lack much. We stayed at several 5 star (rated by booking.com) hotels in Japan and didn’t find so much difference in the service level or cleanliness. No mini bars is common in Japanese hotels, apparently. |The location was good as it was close to the local train station Fuji San and has a walking distance to Fuji Q Highland. It was convenient.
