The hostel's location was superb, right in the center of the city and near the train station. This made it incredibly convenient for me to explore the area and provided easy transportation access. I was delighted to find that the hostel was also close to the main restaurant and the amusement park where Naruto Village is situated, adding an extra layer of excitement to my stay.
The facilities at the hostel were top-notch. I was impressed by the excellent heating services, which ensured that I stayed warm and comfortable throughout my stay. The shared kitchen had all the basic cooking materials I needed, making it easy to prepare my meals when I wanted to. The shared bathroom and shower room were impeccably clean, creating a hygienic environment. The air conditioner in my room worked like a charm, providing much-needed relief during the hotter days. I particularly loved the cozy atmosphere and charming decorations that gave the hostel a welcoming and homely feel.

Read moreHostel Fujisan YOU is an amazing little hostel. Rooms are clean and comfy. The bathrooms were also clean and the water pressure in the shower was amazing. I never had to wait for either the bathroom or shower room. There's a row of sinks with everything you need to get ready. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash, along with razors and shower caps were provided in the shower. In the powder room area there were nail clippers, mini sewing kit, toothbrushes, body lotion, cotton pads, tissues and hair dryers.
They do ask you to keep the noise level down after 10pm, which was much appreciated as it was nice and quiet which made it easy to sleep. The owner is very nice and even gives you his cell in case you have an emergency while exploring which as a solo traveler was much appreciated.
The breakfast was amazing. The homemade bread was fantastic and tested my limits of self control. I wanted to eat it all. The coffee maker was also fantastic and made cappuccinos and lattes which I loved. Eggs were also provided as well as butter and jam for the bread.
The lounge area was comfortable and tons of guides to local attractions as well as guide books in English were available. You can rent bikes as well.
I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a nice place to stay in the Fuji Five Lakea region. Its only a 5 minute walk to the Fujisan station, so exploring the area is easy. Best part is the whole hostel is keyless, so there's nothing you have to take with you or worry about losing! I just took a picture of the codes for the main door & my room to help...

Everything was meticulously tagged in both English and Japanese, explaining the rules and how to use various amenities.
Staying there felt like being in a cozy family house for a weekend getaway. They even provided vanity items such as razors, toothbrushes, and hair dryers, along with towels, sandals, shampoo, and shower gel. The added bonus of free homemade bread and complimentary coffee and bananas made my mornings even more delightful.
The check-in and check-out processes were incredibly smooth, and the location was pleasantly quiet. Plus, it was conveniently situated right beside a spot for capturing stunning pictures of Mount Fuji and within walking distance of the Pagoda.
For those looking to dine out, I highly recommend trying the ラーメン居酒屋まるごと北海道 nearby. The hostel is thoughtfully divided into separate sections for men and women when it comes to bathrooms, but the bedrooms feature comfortable double beds. And if you're lucky enough to have clear skies, you can even enjoy a magnificent Mount Fuji view from your window. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would...
