I stayed at the Hotel Ichiraku on a business trip. This hotel is located in a quieter part of the city, but still relatively easy to get to the more vibrant places like Tenjin. ||||This is a budget hotel, and while the rooms are typical Japanese size, overall it is not bad. To have wifi in your room, you have to borrow a wifi hub (for free), which worked perfectly during my stay. There are convenience stores close by, which came in handy when I wanted a drink in my room. They have public baths and a cafeteria, and the ornaments in the hallway reminded me of traditional Japanese hotels. ||||Overall, a decent hotel, with staff who are warm and willing to help make your stay as comfortable as they can. ||||One downside: if you want housekeeping, you won't be able to use your room until 3 PM. Read moreMy family visited Fukuoka for a couple of days and stayed at this hotel. This is a relatively small hotel inside a side street not far away from the main road. We stayed in a Japanese style room which can accommodate up to three persons. Like many budget hotels in Japan, the room is not spacious and just enough to house 2 to 3 persons. The room is clean and tidy. The provision inside the room is rather basic but sufficient (at least with bathing and tooth brushing stuff) and the staff are generally helpful (can speak basic English). The breakfast included in my booking price is reasonably good. This is a nice budget hotel for short stay in Fukuoka before moving to next stop in Kyushu.
