We stayed at this property for 3 nights, 1 of 6 hotels I booked for our group of 12 of 2 weeks in Taiwan and Japan. I usually book travels for my family but I am no travel agent. I initially booked 3 apartments through booking.com, 1 for 5 adults, 1 for 3 adults and 1 for 2 adults and 2 babies. I canceled the last room since my niece booked her own. On the first morning of our stay, the receptionist stopped me and said we booked room for 2 but there are 3 adults in the room (they had asked for extra towels, which they will nickel and dime you for). I was confused and said I needed to check my booking. Since I'm there with 11 other family members on vacation, it's easy to forget to look into that. Usually, you settle finances at checkout. Every time I entered the lobby, they stopped me to collect money for the 3rd adult. It was an honest mistake that I canceled the room for 3 and kept the room for 2adults/2 babies. I got emails from the property and through booking.com multiple times daily during our short 3 day stay. The worst part was that I paid in cash the morning day before leaving and I get an email requesting bank/CC statement to show proof that I had paid. I paid in CASH so had to send them photo of the receipt. That night at 10:00, someone knocks on one of our rooms speaking very little English so difficult to understand. Basically, they wanted to know if I sent proof of payment to booking.com! I've never felt so harassed by a hotel in my life and I've traveled a lot! As for the property itself, location is great. Convenient on the river and close to Canal Plaza. The rooms are very basic but tight, as to be expected in Japan. There is a clothes washer inside each unit but good luck figuring it out. It's all in Japanese! I gave it 2 stars because of the great location. 0 for it's customer service. If you choose to stay here, make sure your reservation for the number of people is absolutely correct or they will hound you like...

Read moreThis was one of the roomiest accommodation we have experienced in our entire trip, and the cleanliness was top notch. It actually sits right next to the river - we can open our balcony door and basically fish on the river from the balcony. This was let down by the paper thin insulation of the ceiling - I could hear every time someone upstairs turned on their tap. I even heard water drops. The other let down was we had difficulty going through the lobby doors - the instructions were not clear and even after entering the provided pin code we still could not get through to check-in. Luckily someone walked out of the lobby which allowed us to enter the lobby so we can check-in. After the check-in, we had to scan the QR code, which then took us to a survey before they provided the pin to enter our door. It's actually a really good accommodation let down by a few things. If you are a heavy sleeper, this is the place to be. You are a few minutes walk...
