Stayed in a 18m Queen room for 2N (room 219), overlooking a warehouse behind the hotel. Used it as base for exploring Furano / Biei area after off peak lavender season.
Room can barely accommodate 2 XL luggage (1 on the half sofa, other below the window). 2 pillows in room only, but can pick up more at front deak.
Small walk-in shower (old school handheld spray only), toilet was bigger.
1 large window in room, opens out abit only. Aircon control ok! Air purifier (with humidifier) ok!
Hotel has 2 types of onsen facilities, 2 public ones (separate for men / women) including (for men) 1 medium sized outdoor pool + 2 individual round tub. 3 private onsen rooms (different style, but all are indoor) are free and first come first served basis, you can either stake out on the chair outside the room you want, or quick check on #9 floor screen (next to lift lobby) showing occupancy.
Pros Electric socket / usb outlet at both sides of bed In room wear + slippers for use within the hotel (eg onsen @ #9 floor, free ramen supper 10pm - 11pm, breakfast). There is also a #10 rooftop area for sun rise / night view Good spread for breakfast (western / japanese style, including DIY sashimi bowl (ikura!), daily breakfast items doesn't really change 3min walk northwest of Furano station (train / bus station), 10min walk to Furano Marche, 10min by taxi to Cheese Factory / Ningle Terrace English speaking staff available, they can also assist with restaurant booking For folks headed to Tomamu, take North Liner bus (dropoff Shintoku station, towards Obihiro) at bus stop 4 at Furano station (reserve via Dohoku Bus online) Free Beverage station at lobby (coffee, oolong tea, orange, ice), laundry machine also avail other floors. Outside onsen area, free ice cream (various flavors) and massage chair usage (2 chairs), and 1 small room of manga for reading)
Cons Bed is rather hard Odd placement - Mini fridge / kettle / tea ware is within toilet area (below wash basin!) No place to hang bath towels when showering (except to bring onsen basket and put outside shower room)

Read moreWow this hotel is above my expectations. Very affordable & yet have a very good facility & realatively new. ||Room are spacious, there place to hang our jacket, remove shoes & toilet was separate. There’s a small living room also inside the room!||There’s complimentary public & private onsen (first come first serve ; no need reservation). Private onsen get full quickly, they limit people use for max 30 mins.||Staff didn’t speak good English, so there was a time where we find abit difficult time to communicate with them (especially if we ask more complex things to them, like we request for floor mat & they didn’t know what it is). ||Hotel provide complimentary washing machine (free on washing+ detergent provided!) and only need pay for the dryer. They have 4 washer & 4 dryer. There’s also ladies only washing machine & dryer.||Also provide free yakult (only in the morning), free pop ice & free 1/2 bowl ramen from 10-11 pm. ||Nearby there’s few restaurants, convenient store (lawson, 7-11) & drug store (we love it because it sells so many thingssss & varieties, we just passing by & ended up bought many things. Also is tax free). ||Hotel have few car parking, my husband didn’t manage to get park inside the hotel, so the staffs bring him to another car park (#3) which quite a distance, but hotel provides small van to bring their guests back to the hotel. ||TV no English channel but is okay, we have our phone & can watch our English movie. Wifi working well. No bath tub. No housekeeping (you need extra towel, you need go down & collect from front desk).||We wish to stay longer here just to enjoy the facility & view. Very recommended...
Read moreThe location was near the train station, it's a bit of a walk especially when considering lugging your luggage on winter snow, but is very near. It is less than 1km walk to most restaurants and stores. We had a van during our trip during the day, but in the evenings, we would just walk back from the restaurants. Everything was quite near.||The hotel facilities were great. Rooms were ok, small for Western standards but bigger than other Japanese city hotels. They had twin rooms which was great for a comfortable sleep. And their double room had a queen-sized bed. Both types of rooms with a small couch to sit. The rooms were cleaned every day and amenities were replenished according to our preference, you can ask to just change towels if you wish. ||Loved that it had private onsens too, with a 3 pax capacity. I went on my own, and had to wait a bit, despite it being late at night but it was really worth it to experience. The private onsens had their own bath and dry area to dry your hair, etc. It was indoors but had a view of the city at night.||The lobby had free-flowing UCC coffee, orange juice, and water. There is also a small area to sit while waiting. There were ice machines and microwave ovens on certain floors too which was really helpful for breakfast. Didn't get a chance to enjoy the buffet breakfast as we had early starts each day we were there, but we heard good feedback from other guests. They also offer free ramen (really yummy one as well) every night for an hour, free Yakult in the morning, and free ice pops on the onsen floor. Love the experience of staying...
