We were very lucky to have a table at this restaurant. With a capacity of only 12 seats, we barely secured a table by being the first ones there- PLEASE RESERVE BEFOREHAND. That being said, it was a very memorable experience. An Italian restaurant with subtle Japanese touches, all three courses we had were delicately made; all dishes demonstrated chef's profound understanding of flavors and cooking techniques. The appetizer was an assortment, put together by different but complimentary elements. The beef tenderloin had a wonderful crust with a perfect medium rare, together with the mushroom sauce and a hint of tomatoes. Finally, the desert tiramisu and lemon tart was the perfect finish to the meal. Read moreThe food here was excellent and the prices were extremely reasonable. The small restaurant seats about 10 in total and is run by a pleasant Japanese gentleman.
We ordered the beef cheek pasta and really enjoyed it - the sauce was flavourful, beef tender and well seasoned, and the texture of the handmade fresh pasta amazing with a nice springy bite. The roasted duck breast with grain mustard sauce was good too, though just note that the portion was smaller than the pasta. If you’re a (hungry) party of two, I’d recommend ordering a pasta each and then a main to share.
Please also save space for dessert - the tiramisu and lemon tart were absolutely delicious.
My only regret was not coming hungrier and trying more dishes. 10/10 would recommend. Reservations...
Read moreThe desserts here is one of the best i have tasted in the world! Do yourself a favour and try their lemon tart and tiramisu. Flavour profile is balanced and ingredients were very fresh! Definitely not overtly sweet.
As for the pasta, the noodle itself is overcook for my own liking, I usually prefer it to be more al dente, but thats just me. We ordered the prawns with lobster sauce pasta and marinara. Marinara was more to my liking, you can raste the freshness of the pomodoro. The lobster sauce was a bit too creamy for me.
Decent wine list and priced reasonably.
