Guest house Akiba — Hotel in Furano

We found this place after all other options to find a place to stay for two nights in Furano exhausted. The good thing about Akiba is that it is only about 300 meters away from JR Furano station. It sounds nice. But you also need to understand that in fact most activities in Furano happen are not around the town. Most tourists will travel to the hill side to go the sightseeing and other activities. ||||We stayed in two rooms. We originally booked two rooms for us and two daughters. But our youngest daughter joined the trip in the last minute and the owner is kind enough to allow us to take her in, of course with additional charge. ||||On the whole, this is a clean place. All the basic facilities are there. But the major problem that we found with Akiba is that there is only one bathroom (but enough toilets) or all the residents staying there. This may be a problem if a number of tourists go back to Akiba after one whole day's trip and hope to take a shower immediately. ||||I think this is something the owner should consider in...

Less than 10 mins walk away fron furano station, pretty wasy to access. But it was pretty difficult to find a convenience store nearby, had to walk for about 15 mins b4 we found one.||Only one shower room on the ground floor for all to use and you can only use it from 5 to 10pm. I personally found this rule pretty annoying. ||There is no common area available, only a small dinning area open during meal times. Only cups, boiler, fridge amd microwave provided. We left our luggage after checkout and when we return in the afternoon to collect, we requested to rest awhile in the dinning area but the owner did not allow us to do so. Also there are other rules such as lights out from 10 to 11pm and you have to be back to the hostel by 11pm as the doors will be locked. ||On the bright side, the shower room was really large, and like all hostels in Japan, it ...
