Good place suitable for Single or Couple travel, is middle stop of the way to Sounzan Station.....staying there give you the advantage of going up to cable car station early and close by Hakone Museum. Just remind......just only 1 Onsen available for whole house using, per time can 2 person enter(3 can, if 1 is child). You will get privacy by using tag show "Now using" to prevent other people mistaken enter(As long you make noise, people won't come in). And please purchase dinner, snack & drink before you head back during night, is not convenient find food nearby, hotel usually have nothing to serve on night. The place is more of a village and I couldn't find any restaurants open around 7 PM and there is no convenient stores. Out of hunger, I asked the lady in-charge, whether they serve dinner at this hotel. But she said no. Then I ate my souvenir and slept. After a hour she knocked my door and gave me two pieces of onigiri. It was damn hot and tasty. It seems she prepared after I asked for the dinner. Read moreThis hotel, like Hakone is over priced and not worth the visit. We were wanting a traditional stay and this was the cheapest we could find, however it just wasn't a nice experience. The place smelled, I think it was from the sulphur in the hot spring. We put some clothes over a door and they were covered in dust. The toilet on the top floor was not western and the one downstairs stank of urine so I didn't go in. We had booked in for three nights but regret it.
