Ah, the private retreat in the lovely surroundings of Hakone, Japan! Where the winds of change blow softly, and the skies are as endless as one's imagination.

One evening, I found myself taking a bath under the starry sky, despite the crisp and nipping weather. The hills before me were a symphony of serenity, and as I soaked in the onsen, I felt a sense of peace wash over me, like a warm embrace from an old friend.

The food, my dear, was nothing short of a gastronomic delight. The flavors danced upon my tongue like ballerinas, and the presentation was a feast for the eyes. The service was impeccable, as one would expect from the well-educated and respectful Japanese hosts.

And let us not forget the breakfast, a typical Japanese spread that was nothing short of a revelation. I woke each morning to a symphony of tastes, from the savory to the sweet, all perfectly balanced like a work of art.

One feels privy to a world of refined elegance, surrounded by the cultured and the sophisticated, where one can bask in the luxury of privacy. Oh, how I long to return to this haven of peace and solitude. A true oasis in a world that can be all too hectic.

If you seek a retreat from the hurly-burly of life, I highly recommend this delightful sanctuary in Hakone. Your senses will be titillated, your spirit soothed, and your soul...

Nestled on mountain terraces that showcases a contemporary and sophisticated aesthetic.

Access is exclusively available to members and their invited or introduced guests.

Throughout the hotel, which encompasses the dining areas, communal spaces, and accommodations, maintained good standards of tidiness and hygiene.

Customer service was generally appreciated, with a note taken of the staff's attentiveness and professionalism.

Ample parking facilities are available for guests, typically including covered indoor parking options reserved for owners, with an alphabetical list for identification purposes.

The hotel provides a variety of dining options, specifically featuring Japanese cuisine, Western-style and Chinese restaurants, and casual cafes or bars.

Room for enhancement: the check-in process was reportedly less than satisfactory, leaving a somewhat unpleasant impression. Interestingly, the same male staff member who was involved in the check-in experience delivered good service during check-out, leading to a "good...

Wonderful property! I stayed here under a friends reservation and it’s the most fantastic part of my trip to Japan. We had a shuttle bus that leaves very promptly to take us to the property from Odawada. My room had a private onsen and it was such an amazing view it was hard for me to leave and explore outside. Unfortunately my room has a weird smell. I could not find the source. The Onsen was so healing and soothing it really made up for it.

The breakfast and dinner is absolutely delicious! For dinner I had the Japanese meal hosted by Marissa*. We are English speakers and our host Marissa knowing we don’t speak Japanese did an amazing job speaking English to us and translating all the finer details for such an amazing experience. We learned so much about Japanese cuisine and hospitality. Truly forgettable!

Thank you to the hard working...

You can meet surreal experience in this hotel. The hospitality of staff, the view from a room, the restaurants inside, everything is great here. Room is quite big and clean, and the view from a room is as good as what I saw in some National Parks in other countries. Also there is beautiful spa inside. You can take outdoor bath and sauna there. It opens until midnight so even if you hang around Hakone all day, you can take a very good bath in the hotel. The restraints are also highly recommended. There are several types of restaurants such as Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Buffet. You need to have a membership to stay in this restaurant but if you live in Japan, it is absolutely worth it.
