I am writing this review now that it has already been 3 months since I visited Hakone. Naraya Cafe gave me unforgettable memories during my first trip to Japan in 23 years with my wife, whom I met while studying abroad in Japan. It's a place that feels like home after a difficult city life. Making and eating sweet monaka with cool iced coffee was a simple but rich taste that has never been felt anywhere else in the world. And the kindness and warmth of the cafe owner and staff is something I will never forget and miss. Even now that we're back in Queenstown, New Zealand, we miss it and hope to visit again someday. I miss you so much~~^^ I support you all at Naraya Cafe.

Tried out their (somewhat) newly opened sauna -fun and relaxing experience looking out into the forest, great especially on a cold and rainy day. Something different (in a great way!) to do in Hakone. The cafe also offers foot baths that visitors enjoy over drinks and snacks. Can easily spend an entire day here with a book (they also have an extensive library -if you can read Japanese.)

This super cute café near Miyanoshita station has many different seating areas with a gorgeous view of the gorge. When we went, it was rainy so the jazz music plus the rainy atmosphere reminded me of café lofi music you may find online. The coffee was excellent, and the half-and-half pizza had a great crust and was a delightful treat. The staff were kind and attentive.

Best to place to reward yourself after a scenic hiking in the valley. You can rest your feet in the Onsen while eating delicious half-n-half pizza whose toppings are right from the mountain. Bring your own towel to dry your feet or you can buy one that has naraya logo on it. Seat vision and blanket are provided by the cafe for free.

Visited this cafe for tea. A beautiful cafe perched on a hill overlooking the Hakone valleys. I love the ambiance as it feels like I’m in a log cabin high up in the woods. The cafe offers nice snacks and a good coffee at decent prices. I’ll recommend this place to anyone who is passing through.

A unique experience of a cafe with foot bath! Even when it was heavily raining, the awning kept us dry and the foot bath was nice and hot. We ordered at the counter, sat outside and they brought our food & drink to us. Welcoming staff, English menu & wonderful ambience.
