I am writing this review now that it has already been 3 months since I visited Hakone.

Naraya Cafe gave me unforgettable memories during my first trip to Japan in 23 years with my wife, whom I met while studying abroad in Japan.

It's a place that feels like home after a difficult city life.

Making and eating sweet monaka with cool iced coffee was a simple but rich taste that has never been felt anywhere else in the world.

And the kindness and warmth of the cafe owner and staff is something I will never forget and miss.

Even now that we're back in Queenstown, New Zealand, we miss it and hope to visit again someday. I miss you so much^^

I support you all at...

One of the best views me and my kids have seen I can't believe this experience was in a café, we didn't have any food but can comfortably say the hot chocolate was delicious, very hot but on the cold day we had it was perfect. There are barstools seats with the beautiful valley in front it has water straight from the hot spring heating up your feet while you eat and drink, and the comfiest cushions ever. I highly recommend this place because of the beautiful view and the unique design of the hot springs water heating...

Nice art display place with a cozy setting. Hot foot spa available. However coffee can be better. it was just a small cup. after finish you should place back the service tray to the collection area. over there you can recycle the paper cups and dispose other stuff that had been used. there is a seating area with some small plants which gives you a great view out from the hilly side. if you walk beneath, you can find another small gallery with a world map inside with small...

A very nice café near the train station, but very quiet. The coffee is delicious. The staff is very friendly.

Tried out their (somewhat) newly opened sauna -fun and relaxing experience looking out into the forest, great especially on a cold and rainy day. Something different (in a great way!) to do in Hakone. The cafe also offers foot baths that visitors enjoy over drinks and snacks. Can easily spend an entire day here with a book (they also have an extensive library -if you can read Japanese.)
