I am writing this review now that it has already been 3 months since I visited Hakone.
Naraya Cafe gave me unforgettable memories during my first trip to Japan in 23 years with my wife, whom I met while studying abroad in Japan.
It's a place that feels like home after a difficult city life.
Making and eating sweet monaka with cool iced coffee was a simple but rich taste that has never been felt anywhere else in the world.
And the kindness and warmth of the cafe owner and staff is something I will never forget and miss.
Even now that we're back in Queenstown, New Zealand, we miss it and hope to visit again someday. I miss you so much^^

Read moreOne of the best views me and my kids have seen I can't believe this experience was in a café, we didn't have any food but can comfortably say the hot chocolate was delicious, very hot but on the cold day we had it was perfect. There are barstools seats with the beautiful valley in front it has water straight from the hot spring heating up your feet while you eat and drink, and the comfiest cushions ever.
