Andy and Sanae are the best hosts we have ever met. Their enthusiastic introduction to the surroundings and sharing of travel information not only provided us with a place in Hakuba that felt like home but also created wonderful honeymoon memories for us. Be sure to try Sanae's hot pot, it's very delicious. Additionally, the accommodation's location is very convenient, with a bus stop directly to the ski resort within a 1-minute walk. I highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Hakuba for a ski trip! By Beryl and James from Taiwan ^^

This is such a great bed & breakfast/homestay. Andy and Sanoe are excellent hosts. Full of great tips and recommendations for skiing and exploring Hakuba. They offer a pick up and drop off from the station and took guests to the best ski rental shops. The room was clean and very comfortable. The location is great with restaurants, pubs and cafes nearby. I would highly recommend this place to stay if you are looking for a genuine homestay experience.

I loved my stay at this lodge!! The hosts were so lovely and hotpot dinner was great. The lodge was near the bus stop which was very convenient for us to get to the ski resorts. I also appreciate how knowledgeable they were with the slopes and even recommended their preferred slopes for beginners. I highly recommend this place to anyone who’s coming to Hakuba for a ski trip :)) will be back!

Stunning lodge which made us feel like home during our stay in Hakuba. Perfect location to get to the slopes, super friendly and helpful hosts, close to great restaurants and pubs! |Simply all you need when you go for a skiing trip.. :)||It was a very spontaneous trip and we booked the accommodation while boarding the plane.. :D|At first, we were not sure what to expect as there were really limited reviews online. ||However, when we arrived we were very nicely surprised! The pictures on Booking.com don’t give it justice. ||The place is very cozy and the hosts helped us organize everything during our stay. They helped us to rent our skiing equipment, dropped us to the bus stop when were leaving (at 6am in the morning) and gave some great advice on what to do in the area during our stay.||We stayed in a Log Cabin, which is a very cozy cottage with a loft. It was very spacious and we could have even prepared our own food there if we were staying longer.||Last night we had a Hot pot at the lodge- the best i ever had! You should also try the Plum wine there.. |I remember reading somewhere that the breakfast was not great, i think the breakfast was absolutely fine. You can order extra eggs and some warm options.. Delicious.. :)||I can definitely recommend this lodge and we would love to come back...

You would be doing yourself a disservice by visiting Hakuba and not staying at Hakuba Haven Lodge. From the moment of booking with Andy and Sonae they were organizing when to pick us up from the bus station, the kind of service that lasted until they dropped us back at that bus station 7 days after we arrived. They could not have been more welcoming, kind, funny, and professional. We experienced staying in the lodge and rented the stand alone cabin, both of which we would recommend. We were four friends in the cabin and it was incredibly spacious and comfortable. It was a great option for cooking a few of our own meals and having our own space…although we found ourselves over at the lodge visiting with Andy and Sonae as much as possible – so keep that in mind! Cannot recommend this place and these people enough; take their advice and get to know them. The best meals we had (besides their hotpot night) were the restaurants they recommended. They take the time to get to know you and recommend places they really think you would like, a rarity with tourism these days. Take advantage of this  we would not think of staying anywhere else! Bonus is the excellent location steps from a shuttle stop and 5 mins to...
