For so small price value is good-everything looked very clean ,and outdoor little ofuro bath was unexpectedly lovely. But unfortunately I did not meet that kind owner and his cat which was described in some reviews. And only coffee offered was very cheep instant made powder. Even so I wanted to pay for proper coffee or breakfast , but was not allowed as did not do it in advance while booking.. Marriot ,Mominoki and some other hotels in area offer very generous breakfast buffet. So you can go there instead. But not being able to buy proper coffee in morning is not very good service for any pension, inn. Also I asked if I can pay extra and have later check out-for that also answer was bert short “No”-10 am and that’s it-without apologies. Even so they were not fully booked… very strange service for Japan. For the same price range“ Il Bosco” is most welcoming ,accommodating hotel I stayed . few times, and would definitely recommend. But it was fully booked ,so I wanted to try...

The host was very welcoming and friendly. We went there to ski and did not expect that he would take us to and drop us off at the ski lodges daily. Additionally, he went out of his way every morning to take all of our ski stuff and load the vehicle before we were even ready to go.||||The rooms were a good size considering all we were doing was sleeping in them. Don't expect to host a party in them. Bathrooms were small, but in my experience in Japan, pretty par for the course.||||The on site onsen was very nice. We we were there, there were no other guests, so we had the whole onsen to ourselves.||||The hotel was also a 10 min walk to the Echoland area which had a lot of izakayas and restaurants.||||Would definitely recommend this hotel to others...

Hotel manager was super friendly and smiley throughout our stay. He was very kind to provide us a guide on how to orientate around the area. The room is spacious and very clean with share amenities provided - free instant coffee, hot water and microwave. The highlight has to be the free private Onsen for guests to use. All you need to do is to flip the sign and lock the door and both the indoor and outdoor Onsen are for you to enjoy after a long day of hike, really takes the fatigue out of you. Location is convenient but hotel is slightly hidden so keep a look out for it especially in the dark.

My friend and I spent 3 nights at Anise Garden and had a fantastic stay in a junior suite. The room had a lounge room attached which was great for relaxing in at the end of the day. We were lucky and able to check in 2 hours early. There is a shuttle bus stop near by that we used to get to Hakuba 47 - the owner will let you know where the stops are and which bus to get, he is very helpful. The private onsen was amazing! Echoland restaurants are a 10 min walk, very easy to get to. 7-11 is also a 10 min walk. All in all, a great stay, beautiful accommodation, would return and would recommend.

My partner and I stayed at this place to enjoy some snow boarding, and it was amazing. The rooms felt so homey and the gentleman that was there helped us from renting out snow gear and boards to dropping us off at the train station after check out. Would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling to Hakuba. They also have a private onsen on site which was a treat after snowboarding all day. (Tattoos are okay)
