The ski location is great you walk downstairs pick your skis out of the rack, go through security door, walk 5 metres to the ski run and there is a chairlift 5m away and ski to the gondola 30m away. The gondola shop has a cheaper wine store and chips chocolate bars etc.||The apartment main bathroom had slime/mould on grout between tiles which we reported and they cleaned but you would think that they would quality check that before next guests came in. ( reception blamed cleaners rather than taking responsibility for QC.)If you stay a week they are supposed to change towels on day 4 but it wasnt done - we mentioned it on last day and they changed them - we said dont bother but they still changed 2 of the 4 towels.||Beds were firm, room heating was good and TV is hidden behind a beam so you have to squeeze up on the lounge to watch face on. Very small number of english channels eg japanese Netflix not english!||Lady on reception was abrupt x/she lacked customer service and any hospitality to some of our requests eg because there was so much ice on the roads we asked if the courtesy car could drop us off a short distance away to a restaurant ( we were not familiar at that point with town layout) and we would taxi back and she flatly refused with no reasoning, so we gave her a miss on future requests. She didn’t explain where you pick up buses to go to other ski resorts (She was more focussed on cooking pumpkin for her dog). They provided a complimentary pickup service to and from the train station and bus station and then to supermarket which was great.||For the cost of the accomodation $12,250 AUD per week - there is no blackout blinds so when the snow groomer goes past at 12.00am onwards you room with vertical blinds will be lit up. The bedrooms are small, only space on one side of the bed, the spa is a bath with no spa facility, the grill is in japanese so to turn on the unit then then switch to turn on the grill. There no hanging space in either bedrooms, only hooks. We stored our shoes and boots in a small area inside front door. ||The lady is on whats app so replies come back in English reasonably quick but when you checkin she doesnt explain anything except laundry 500 yen, door code and apartment. Would we stay again probably no because there are better cheaper options in Hakuba near...

Read moreThis place is AMAZING! I have been to Hakuba many times but will only be returning here in the future: if you love skiing then you just cannot beat the ski-in/ski-out location, the quality of the apartment or the kindness of the Fujita family who manage the building. We stayed 3.5 weeks and cannot wait to return to Hakuba next year! Location: 1minute walk or ski to the Happo-One "Adam" gondola gives you amazing access to the slopes + means no queuing for buses from your chalet, waiting for taxis, parking or walking through the street in ski boots (we must have saved hours by avoiding all that...) + a beautiful slope behind the apartment where kids can play safely in the snow, toboggan, etc.. Apartment quality: "yuka-danbo" underfloor heating throughout means no hassle with switching heaters on/off or dry aircon + the apartment looked brand new inside + well-stocked kitchen + the bathroom felt like our own mini-onsen + the beds feel like a 5-star hotel. The Fujitas: from greeting us on arrival at 3am to assistance with deliveries and getting around town we could not fault their kindness...
