I recently stayed at Hotel Livemax and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. Despite requesting a non-smoking room, I was given a smoking room that was extremely dirty and smelly. When I asked to change rooms, I was told that I would have to pay an extra 10,000 yen per night for a slightly better room. Read moreLocation was convenient for us with a car as only 30min from enoshima and kamakura and direct ETC to Tokyo is only 1 hour. First night I was told to come at 9am for breakfast, when I l did receptionist said it was too late. Second day I came down and it was food dished out on a plate. Nothing for vegetarians, all pork and fish. Chef didn't understand what allergies were and so I booked with breakfast but had none. It's not hard to serve even an fried egg if nothing else!!Didn't have a picture of the room but Indonesian a few doors down was delicious! Also no parking I wouldn't rush to book a livemax, it didn't feel very welcoming. Choose an APA hotel instead, it was...

The hotel is 2 minutes walk from Hiratsuka Station - just take the north exit and go straight. The staff were very friendly and did their best to help with my lack of Japanese. This is a "business hotel" so limited room size but comfortable and has the basics. Wifi has now been installed (I think that's quite recent given the other reviews I've read) and was much better than the wifi in some hotels I've paid three times the price for. Very clean and close to many shops and...
