We spend 3 unforgetable days in Ine-Village. The “Funaoto” which means sound of the boots is very lovely, clean and comfortable. It is located only few steps from the sea, in the middle of the romantic village with its rows of little wooden houses which makes it a very exceptional place. The owner is very kind and supportive, helping us with many little things to make it a wonderfull stay. The village offers a lot to see, an still active fishing-harbour where the boots, which return early in the morning, land big tuna and all kind of other fish. There is an old sake-brewery which is the brewery located closest to the see in Japan. It is possible to fish from land or by chartering a boot. In that way we could catch our own meal of Sashimi and fried fish, which the owner of “Funaoto” kindly helped us to...
Read moreWonderful stay in Ine with our family of 5. We loved the rooms and the attached kitchen, but most of all we loved Jun! She is a perfect host, a wonderful person, taking so much care about her guests. We strongly recommend to join her for a sightseeing of Ine. She will help you learn all about this nice fishermenvillage and moreover understand a lot more about Japanese culture and soul. When we left after one day/night we had found a friend in Jun and the stay at her house was the most enjoyable experience of our trip to Japan. Thanks again Jun, for everything! It could not have been better, warmer, more interesting than staying with you in Funaoto. Great communication with her, also in the booking process in advance. It´s a must to stay...

Jun-san is a very gracious host and went out of her way to assist us. Her home cooked fish breakfast was excellent. And she even went as far as taking our suitcase to the post office in her car so we could send it back to our home.
Jun-san also took us to the fishing port across the road early one morning when the town’s fishing boat came in loaded with fish. We had been to Ine a couple of times before were not aware this. Was a very...
