Maruichi (Ine funaya stay) — Hotel in Ine

Lovely, peaceful, serene, quiet and beautiful. The house is immaculate and very welcoming. The beds are comfortable and the upstairs room is stunning with its layout and view. The family that runs the house is a sweet caring beautiful family. The husband runs a fishing expedition that looks very popular with local Japanese residents. There is a parking spot in the driveway for your rental car. The scene from the upstairs room is iconic for the funaya neighborhood. When you take one of the smaller boat tours in town ( ask at visitor center for smaller boat) they will end up touring you to in front of your Maruichi funaya house. The specific little bay has been in cinema shows. If you are lucky enough to book this beautiful house go for it. When you do book the host will reach out and help make reservations for your restaurant meals in town since it’s a tiny town. A special moment was when we were sitting upstairs viewing the scenery from the extremely large window…we ended up seeing a large group of Japanese macaques playing up on the hill side. Coming from California that was pretty cool to watch.

Such a relaxing and wonderful experience. You get the little house by the sea all by yourself. I absolutely enjoy the view from the room, the atmosphere and the facilities. The lady owner is very helpful. She prepared the free bicycle for us and gave us a lift to the bus stop since it was raining when we checked out.
