Absolutely stunning place! The home is modernly refurnished while the outside still looks like a classic Funaya. We (4 people) paid 11,150 yen each per night with breakfast. First, I thought it was expensive but actually it was a very worthwhile experience! I didn’t expect that we will get the whole house privately for the night!
The view is just amazing and there is a backyard with seats and balcony where you can dip your feet in while observing the fish, seagulls and jellyfish.
The beds were comfy and there is a very big TV with netflix as well. The bathroom and toilet were also very very clean.
The breakfast was a traditional Japanese style, probably made from the fish they caught. Very fresh and delicious!
We asked the host about the cruise and she offered to book it for us. She even suggest the sea taxi (as opposed to the big cruise) is better for a good weather day. We were extremely happy about what she recommended! The taxi just picked us up right from the balcony.

Read moreI was the one who came into the store right before the reviewer from Osaka. I totally agree with the review. Not only their service but also the coffees were all surprisingly bad (literally). I didn't even hear one single word of saying goodbye and the total experience overall was so unwelcoming. We just stopped by since we didn't have any options cuz every stores were all closed and we ended up getting the horrible taste of coffees and service! The staff there just ruined our very first experience in Ine town, which we were very excited at first. As a traveller from a foreign country, I highly recommend whoever reads this not to put this place on your list unless you want to ruin your first...
Read moreWe stayed here on a very snowy day but the area was still very pretty. We had the heater on 30deg and it kept the room warm enough. The main room is very large and has a sink while the toilet and bath are across the hall. Miyoko-san was very friendly and made us wonderful meals. Buri-shabu for dinner, everything locally caught! This funaya was her husband's childhood home and he continues to be a fisherman. It was very quiet and peaceful at night. It would be nice to visit when it is warmer, with the windows open and enjoying the breeze and waterviews. Ine-village street is very long. Aura is a nice stroll to the...
