We had what amounted to an apartment on the first floor, with a sitting area overlooking the bay and an extremely large traditional sleeping area. The food was largely freshly caught fish with added vegetables and (of course) rice. When we couldn't decide whether morning or afternoon boat trip on the bay would be best, we were offered two shorter trips at different times, which was lovely. Unlike the tourist boats that plied the bay, he stopped the engine frequently to allow us to take photos of the old fishing houses. Read moreWe have a wonderful memory of that charming guesthouse, where the hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming. The guesthouse facilities were very well-equipped, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. In the evenings, they would drive us to our dinner location.
