The hotel is located roughly 10 minutes away from Izukogen station by car. The hotel provides free shuttle running from the station to hotel on a fix schedule, no reservation needed. Izukogen station have two exits that's on complete opposite of the building, so make sure you wait at the right parking lot for the shuttle. Once in the hotel, I was greeted with little snack and drinks during the checkin process. Certain staff members can speak fluent English and provided me a map with all their facilities explained. ||||The room was big but dated, and I worried about bugs because it's in a forest, but they made an effort to keep it reasonably clean and updated. It has many small appliances you will find in a Tokyo hotel room, such as humidifier, and even a full personal massage chair in each room. The bathroom is pretty small, and the shower is very old fashion and a little bit moldy. They probably weren't expecting guests to use the shower since there are several hot springs in the resort. ||||There are two restaurants for dinner and the hotel will confirm time and location for dinner with you upon check-in. A lot of items in the set dinner and the food is delicious. Breakfast is only in one place, but you can select western or Japanese style. Staff will confirm a time for breakfast with you at dinner. One thing to note is that both breakfast and dinner takes a long time to finish, as they bring dinner out course by course. Breakfast was not course by course but can take a long time to bring out. If you are planning to depart early after breakfast, request for earlier time. At night time free ramen is served outdoor.||||Hot spring is great with several indoor and outdoor pools. Not too many people were using it so at times you almost feel like you have the entire place to yourself. Free milk/drink are provided at the exit of hot spring. In addition there are 3 individual hot spring rooms away from the main hot spring building that's first come first serve. I wish they would provide more towel though; you have to bring towels...

Read moreIt has been an incredible experience!
Unfortunately, the day before arriving at this villa, I went through a rather unfortunate experience that left me deeply stressed. Therefore, my expectations upon arrival were high: I desperately needed to rest and disconnect. …. I am very HAPPY to say with complete certainty that it exceeded all my expectations!
The villa is beautiful, and it’s evident that the staff take great care of it with respect and affection. The overall service from the staff was excellent, even in my case, where due to dietary restrictions, my meals had to be prepared in a special way.
The entire natural atmosphere is stunning, the public onsen is amazing, and having the opportunity to relax with your partner in the three private onsens, free of charge, is something that should be valued and protected at all costs.
The breakfast was delicious, and although the villa is a bit far from the station to walk, they offer free transportation every half hour. (The bus driver was also beyond kind!)
I have only good things to say and left there feeling renewed and very, very happy. I hope I can come back soon! :-)
Thank...
