An incredible stay and experience from checkin to check out. The staff is incredibly attentive and professional, explaining everything in detail while giving you a nice fresh cup of green tea with a matcha brûlée to top it off. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the in room dining experience was well worth the cost. The onsen in the room was such a great touch and the rooms are overlooking the ocean so you can relax and stare at the waves and mountains for hours. I can’t wait to come back again in the future it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in Japan so far. And just down the street is a great izakaya which has some teishoku for sale, and the sashimi was so fresh that it was still moving haha. I really really enjoyed Izu thanks to this hotel and I will certainly...

We visited Shinkaikate Izume for one night of our honeymoon while traveling across Japan on bicycles. The staff accommodate our bicycles and helped us find the Suruga Bay ferry in the morning. Although we arrived too late for dinner, we had an exceptional breakfast that prepared us for the next day of cycling. It was the best breakfast we had in all of Japan. Everything was fresh and prepared perfectly. We were able to sample dozens of delicacies and ask questions about them. I bet the dinner is even better. The room itself was extremely spacious and luxurious. In the morning, we watched our ferry arrive from our gigantic private outdoor bath, which was really hot. We highly recommend Shin Kaikate Izume to both Japanese...

We stayed at the Sakura Momoka special room (最上階・特別室/桜桃花) to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Big room with Tatami, a huge open air private onsen, and very comfortable futon. The views are the best. We spent hours at the outdoor bath, relaxing and enjoying the sea and the mountains around.

We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel too, in a semi-private room. The restaurant is quiet, and you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, while being served with care and attention. The food is great, with first quality, fresh ingredients, cooked and presented to perfection. They prepared a special cake with candles and a happy birthday...
