I traveled to Kobe for work, and spent 4 nights in this hostel. I just want to say that it was a really good experience and that I totally recommend it. The location is very good, super-close to Kobe station, and it has a supermarket and "conbini" at less than 10 min and 2 minutes walk respectively. The rooms are great, I was expecting the typical shared room with bunk beds and I found myself in a kind of wood capsule bed with much more intimacy, what was a great surprise. Also, it was very hot in Kobe, but the hostel room was always fresh and comfortable, and everything was very clean. The hostel environment and design is also really nice, in the lobby always great music, and loads of magazines and info for traveling around. In the upper floor it has a very cool terrace, ideal for chilling out and making friends. Another great plus is that I could rent a bike for only 500 yen per day, to go to my workplace, and thanks to that I realized that the hostel is just at 10-15 minutes walk of the nicest area in Kobe, that is the harbor, that you should definitely visit at night if you have the chance. Finally, I also want to say that the staff was charming. They are quite good in English, and they try to help you with whatever you could need. Actually, during my stay, another client came to the hostel at night thinking he had lost his passport there, and the staff member that was in the hostel in that moment spent about 1-2 hours of his time (this issue happened after the reception closed), helping this person to find his passport calling to the police and the train station to explain them the problem in Japanese. I totally recommend this place to everybody that wants to enjoy Kobe with few money and feeling...
Read moreIt's great for location, it was about a 6 minute walk to the hotel from Kobe station, no taxi needed. The guys speak great English so can answer all your questions. ||To walk to the city centre was about 20 minutes, where you find most of the Kobe beef restaurants etc.||The hostel itself used to be a restaurant, i think that's what they said. It has it's own unique Japanese charm. ||The only problem was the noise of the air conditioning unit on the first floor bedroom, apart from that the facilities are great and clean. The wifi could be better in the rooms, but it still works. ||There's a rooftop are with plenty of sitting...
Read moreGreat little place with wooden capsules and pretty curtains, good shower and wash areas with hair driers and extra blankets if you need them, there is a roof top chilling area and also a chill out room down stairs too. Breakfast is bread as usual and there's a tiny kitchen you can prepare your own food in. They have a place you can keep your luggage in a non locked cupboard but it was safe enough. If the guy isn't there to check you in you can just wait for him or just leave your luggage in the cupboard just on the right before you come to the end of the bar. Go explore then...
