TLDR: service attitude from front desk personnel is below what you can expect from Starbucks employees (where you spend significantly less money). Poor service attitude of the front desk is putting a stain on otherwise very good hotel.
I had enjoyed my 2-night stay so decided to extend for my upcoming birthday. I’m now regretting this decision. The service and attitude from the front desk person was rude and confusing. You had my name, previous room number (and therefore details), and confirmation number for the new reservation. You asked to see my phone for the new reservation details, handed back my phone, and then asked ME to read the confirmation number back to you. You even had the audacity to say “SLOWLY” impolitely when I read it back to you. You then point blank told me that you can’t find the reservation. So what’s the implication? I’m lying about the new booking? Are you joking?
After all this you found my new reservation on a piece of paper that was next to you. What is wrong with your reservation system? How is my reservation details not in your system but magically printed on paper? Where is the goodwill towards a returning customer? And most importantly, why is it that the cheerful service attitude from Starbucks employees 10 mins later was exponentially better than your attitude?
Lastly, you had me check my luggage until check-in without considering checking me into the new room immediately. Decent thing would have been to at least check if the new room...
Read moreI would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Kobe.
The hotel’s location is exceptional. A 7-Eleven convenience store is conveniently located across the building, and the train station is just a two-minute walk away, and the harbor land area is accessible within an 800-meter walk. Additionally, complimentary coffee is available from 3 p.m. daily
The rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet, providing everything needed for a comfortable stay. Don’t forget to mention the complimentary bottled water—it’s a thoughtful touch compared to some other hotels, even if it’s not a luxury feature.
Lastly, and most importantly, we would like to express our special gratitude to Mr. Matsuda, the front desk representative working the night shift on November 2nd. He went above and beyond to fulfill our request when we asked if the hotel had a hot water dispenser available.
Mr. Matsuda exceeded our expectations, and we’d like to formally thank him for his exceptional service. I’m confident that this hotel and its dedicated staff will take excellent care of all guests, if you are stopping at Kobe, give Hotel...

When checking in. Staff were rude. Changing rooms. You must check-out all day. And rude when collecting your luggage 🧳 to take to a new room. (Not high up & still facing the busy freeway).
2:15am i packed & took my luggage to reception. Was given room 1001 and forced check out again at 11am. 🕚 . 1001 was passable.
