Kobe Station — Local services in Kobe

Very convenient station. Through underground shopping, you can be connected to kosoku kobe station for Hankyu or Hanshin lines. You can even walk to Shinkaichi station underground (good for winter or summer time!) there are many shopping place and food place at this station, like Yoshinoya and convenience store like Seven eleven. This is a JR station and a Shinkansen stop. Which is what I used.

I took the Shinkansen from this Okayama to reach this station. I needed to see the Gigantor statue, so I put my stuff in a locker (there are a few locker spots) and headed downstairs to get to the local subway to Sannomiya station.

I didn't wander around the station as much, but the Shinkansen platforms were upstairs. On the level platform where taxis are, there a spots to get food...

It is connected to the harbourland shopping center. The station is huge with many train lines interconnecting. It is also a central transit station. The down side is the minimum sign displayed. Well most signs are in japanese, so it must be a me thing that I find myself...
