I stayed here with my family and friend, and we used 3 rooms in total. The standard rooms we got were petit, but I think they are just the right size for one person to stay in. The beds were fluffy and comfortable, the desk was spacious, and there were adequate amenities offered to us during our stay. My family and I tend not to use room service for daily maintenance, so we were surprised that if we didn't use it here, we could get a free bottled water from the front desk. It was a nice bonus. However, maybe because we didn't use room service, the bathtub drain quickly became overworked (it was a cloth/paper filter type it seems), and it took longer and longer for the water to drain out. The lighting over the open bathroom door also makes it look like it's dirty when there's condensation, but it was only a trick of the light, and it was actually very clean. The staff and front desk workers were always very kind to me and my family and friend, even when my family made many requests during the stay (for example: calling taxis and holding a mountain of luggage for us). We are all very grateful for their kindness and understanding. We used a kiosk to checkout at the end of our stay, and it was quick and easy to use (especially when a staff member stood nearby to help). The location was wonderful! It was right next to the train and street car station, so travel was easy, but there was also a bunch of great restaurants around the area as well! My family especially liked exploring nearby and finding new places to eat at. We had a great time staying at this hotel while in Kochi...

Nice modern, clean design.WiFi was good and the TV had an audio switch for bilingual (mostly news) shows. A decent sized mug (made of glass) is always appreciated, though now coffee (only Japanese tea) was provided in the room - there is a drinks bar (coffee and range of teas available in the communal lounge space in front of the elevators on the ground floor.
Bed was reasonably firm. Pillow not bad and there is a "pillow library" at the ends of each floor.
Breakfast is pricey at first look at ¥1500, but the set breakfasts are huge - more like dinner than breakfast - though there is very little for...
Read moreReally great hotel right next to the train station. Has on site parking (for a fee) and is a nice quiet spot even though it is right next to the train station. If you can ask for a room with a view of the station, if your a fan of trains it is really nice to see the trains zipping in and out of the station.
The rooms are just the right size and come with all the basic stuff you would need and for the price it really is a great choice in the area. It's very clean and the staff is super friendly and can even help if you only have limited Japanese.
I haven't tried the onsite restaurant but it's always lively when I stay and worst case there is a conbini right...
