The food in the area is good and there's a wide variation, from Japanese restaurents to pizza places.||||We didn't know how to get to Tabinokousaten, so Jijo actually came to pick us up from the train station in his own van. Jijo got us all settled on the skiing side, introducing us to ski school people.||||We made arrangements to have a traditional Japanese dinner one evening. The dinner, on our last day there, was fantastic and helped us to experience what it's like to eat a real home-cooked Japanese dinner. ||||Jijo and Kyoko speak some English, more than enough to communicate. The rooms are adequate and have electric heaters and bedding and are big enough to accomodate 2-4 people. Not much in them, but...
