You couldn't find a better location for travelling, right outside JR Mito Station, where I arrived, departed and used to take two day trips. The hotel is also within walking distance of the river and many sights, as well as lots of shops and eateries. Inside it is attractively fitted out, and I loved the beautiful plum blossom artworks above the twin beds in my room, and opposite the lift. The "superior twin room" itself was comfortable, clean, well laid-out and with a reasonable amount of space. As well as the beds there was a lounge, small table with easy chair, big tv on the wall, fridge with complimentary water, adequate clothes hanging space (no drawers), safe, humidifier and electric jug. The bathroom bench space was a bit restricted due to the position of the toilet. ||The disappointment for me was the view. I much enjoy good views, and had some wonderful ones during this trip staying at 16 different places, Unfortunately this one in MIto was the least likeable. There was a tall apartment block directly across from my window, and in between, lower down, the concrete outdoor area containing the hotel's air conditioning system. To the left of that and higher up, the roof of another building also "featuring" its air conditioning system. I could see a bit of the greenery on either side of the river in the distance to the right, and over to the left in between the roofs mentioned an interesting trompe-l'oeil building. That was about it. The hotel's air conditioning area did have a couple of floral wall installations but they were not lit at night. The whole scene was even more dull then with no people visible at all and few lights. ||The hotel has a gym, laundry, public bath and vending machine. A massage service is available. Breakfasts were good (I was there for three), and the venue was a pleasant room looking out at the walkways to the station. As this was during Golden Week, there were musical performances in the station forecourt. ||Staff were professional and efficient. ||If I stay again, I'll ask for a room above the station walkways, as the people coming and going would be more interesting than the lifeless concrete...

Being right next to the station means you’re also surrounded by plenty of shopping and dining options, including a variety of restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and souvenir shops all within the station complex. Whether you’re in town for business or sightseeing, the location couldn’t be better.
The hotel itself recently underwent renovations in 2024, so the interiors feel fresh, modern, and clean. The rooms, while compact (as is common in many Japanese business hotels), are thoughtfully designed with contemporary touches and updated amenities. Everything feels well-maintained and new, which adds to the comfort of your stay.
One downside is that the rooms do not come equipped with an iron or ironing board, which may be inconvenient for travelers who need to press their clothes—especially for business trips. It’s worth checking with the front desk if they offer them upon request, but it’s something to...
Read moreI booked into the hotel for a weeks business trip. The room was lovely and clean and had all the standard amenities you would expect with the obligatory Japanese toilet with the bells and whistles.||||You get breakfast tokens to use during your stay as well a sunday brunch token if your stay extends through the weekend. ||||The breakfast buffet is ok with the standard eggs, sausage et al but the Japanese selection is small and some of it does not have english translations to help a curios visitor try it. ||||I had one dinner there as room service which was nice but given that I was keen to try traditional Japanese fare that was my only experience.||||It is connected to the train station and is quite easy to get to other parts of the country from especially on the express trains||||The front desk is helpful and always there so thats a bonus||||Overall a nice place to...
