Best Western Plus Nagoya Sakae — Hotel in Nagoya

There was something sticky like sauce on the hotel guide on the table, the inside of the refrigerator was dirty and there was hair stuck inside. The carpet and floor were covered in hair and it was really disgusting.And the room was hot and there was no air exchange at all. The windows of the building were not opened and the ventilator did not work at all. The air conditioners in the rooms were managed centrally and could only be switched from heating to cooling on the day of check-out, 4/1. On 3/31, the weather was good during the day, so the room was so hot that I felt like I was going to get heat stroke, and I got a headache and had to take medicine. Why did I have to go through such a hard and uncomfortable experience when I came all the way to stay? I want my accommodation fee refunded.There was also no ice machine in the building. The hotel is pretty nice. Good size room for Japan and the option for a real queen size bed. They let us check in a little early; I think they rushed to get our room ready when they saw we were just going to wait in the lobby for an hour, which was very kind. Good location too - not too far walk from Sakae station. (Exit 12 is the closest to the hotel FYI.)

My one real complaint is that the hotel allegedly had A/C but in reality it is hard to control the temperature of the room. We were told that this time of year they don't air condition the rooms. Well then don't say you have A/C! :/

Edited to add: they did provide us with an electric oscillating fan to use after we asked about the A/C... and then some time the next day, the A/C in the room started working? So perhaps the people at the front desk were just confused, and it had just been...

Check in process was smooth as butter, we booked thru agoda and was greeted by staff who speaks very good English. Price is a steal, considering this hotel is only 5 to 10 minutes walk to the busy Sakae station. Surrounded by many good food options and also shopping places, you won't ever find yourself with no activity. Rooms were great, clean, newly renovated. Breakfast was awesome although I wish they would rotate some of their menu daily. Ice machines located in 5th and 12th floor. Hot water pressure was great, especially after long walks. Complete amenities, some you have to get yourself from the lobby area. Speedy and stable wifi, what else can you expect from such an awesome hotel! Not too quiet environment because of its location, but the noise wasn't disturbing...
