Smile Hotel Namba — Hotel in Osaka

The Internet here is great you get 70 MB upload and download speed which means you can watch Netflix or anything else while you're here :-) staff are good but they speak very little English! Breakfast is actually pretty decent and it's nice that it is included but will be much better if they invested in the hotel itself. This is not a three star hotel it is more a one star hotel close to being a hostel. If you like sitting on the toilet and showering at the same time this could be the place for you on top of that our toilet was actually slant the downwards so it's the first time I've actually been sitting downhill while doing my business. On top of that I barely fit in the bathroom and I'm on the 173 cm high yours I get the pleasure of showering sideways. It also smelt of urine and when we went into the vault the first time so basically I did not use the public bath here. Even though you have all the facilities of a three star hotel doesn't make it a three star hotel this place is clearly from the 80s and really need to update it did not put a smile on my face:( however if you're practising stoicism it is a great place to enjoy if you wanted appreciate the great places that you've stayed before. I stayed here for 2 nights with my boyfriend. Perfect for us as we are backpacking so the price was great. The location is also great. Very easy to get to on the subway - only one stop away from Namba station which can get you to most places. (you definitely need a subway pass when spending time in Osaka, it's so easy!). The closest station is Sakaragawa - when you're leaving the station head towards the train line and leave on exit 2 you will be about 30m away from the hotel!||We stayed in a non-smoking room, no hint of smoke at all! The room is tiny but we had all the space we needed. The bed is a bit small but my 6ft4 boyfriend still managed ok! The bathroom is also tiny but again does the trick. It was very clean and furniture modern. We didn't want our room cleaned after the first night and found clean sheets, towels, dressing gowns and slippers waiting outside the door for us.||Check in isn't until 3pm but they locked our luggage away in their office so that we could get exploring!||There's a few near by supermarkets which sell lots of stuff, cheap water and fruit etc. Very handy.||I would recommend this hotel, definitely for young couples travelling...
