We booked for 4 nights. I have to say the location is unbeatable, with a subway station just round the corner and within walking distance to Susukino area. Check-in was a breeze, it can be done at a self check-in machine or via the courteous receptionist. Same goes for check-out. Every night the cafe at the ground floor serves up nice warming soup to the guests from 9-11pm, that was a lovely gesture. Breakfast has to be ordered the night before, although the selection is limited all the sandwiches tasted great (especially the french toast and MLTE).
Now, on to the NOT great part of the hotel. First impression of the hotel at the reception area was good, interiors are modern and gives off a nordic vibe. The twin room we booked was spacious, however, is a disappointment.
The biggest problem we had was with the housekeeping. Dust in the room and the stains on the glass surfaces. Visible dust can be seen on the glass panels, thick enough for me to run my fingers through it. Same can be said on the corner on the raised floorboard where the mattresses are, window sills, behind sliding doors, wash basin. I spoke to the receptionist the next morning with pictures I took, and they promised to have their housekeeping deep clean but it was very poorly done. Same dusty areas were still the same, proving not much 'deep' clean was done. For the next 2 days, we found a cleaning cloth left behind on the dressing table, and another day some sheets tossed on the bench. Once we came back and discovered there are small bits of papers and whatnots are still on the floor so I doubt if the vacuum is done at all. The lightings were just terrible (down spotlights), it only illuminates a direct spot and there is certainly too little of it to light up the room properly. One of the bedside lamp was completely missing from its once-built-in spot. The interior walls are all in very dark grey color (not helping the low light situation at all). There is not a single wall hook in the room and bathroom. There is no way to hang a damp bath towel or any clothing items in the bathroom. The shower door has a small handle bar and that's about it. The twin room is rather spacious (fit 4) and there is only 1 small trash bin in the room. None in the bathroom which makes things very inconvenient. The a/c vent and bathroom vent...
Read moreI booked this hotel through Booking for about 7000 yen, and honestly, it was such a pleasant surprise. The staff were super friendly, and the room had a chic, cozy vibe—nothing like your typical business hotel. The huge TV and red carpet gave it a unique touch, and the café was really nice to relax in. Breakfast was tasty too.
What impressed me the most was the sauna. It was spotless, beautifully designed, and I could completely unwind while enjoying the view outside. Plus, the free ice bar after the sauna was a fun little bonus!
There aren’t many convenience stores right next to the hotel, but if you’re coming back from Susukino, you can easily stop by one on the way. The room only had a shower, no bathtub, but honestly with the sauna I didn’t miss it at all. Check-out was quick and easy with the machine, and even smokers have a designated room by the entrance.
Overall, it’s a place that really makes you want to stay again....
Read moreI’m only writing this review because they said they didn’t care if I wrote the review, which should probably tell you all you need to know about this place Trudging up the snowy alley 120 m or so would’ve been impossible with the suitcase but anyways we showed up at 10:30 said we would pay more for an early check-in ended up walking around came back 2:55 and we were told we have to continue to wait Then a some foreign lady came out and was not very helpful either. I wouldn’t recommend this place certainly much easier places to get to especially in the winter And it’s a real shame also because we’re having a great time here and I’ve been getting really good service everywhere else my friend checked into the FIDO hotel was able to get his room immediately, but for some reason they want to hold an empty room and have everyone sit in the lobby and wait makes...
