At first, I really liked the style of this hotel, and the photos of the outdoor hot springs were eye-catching, so I made the reservation anyway. There are two Granbell Hotels in Sapporo, located in different areas. Those who book should be careful not to make a mistake.Susukino is a 10-second walk to Hosui-Susukino Station (Toho Line) and a four-minute walk to Susukino Station (Namboku Line). There are many local hotels nearby, and there are many people in the evening. When I checked in on the day of check-in, I saw that the actual appearance of the hotel did not disappoint. It was as beautiful as the photos. The large public bath was open until one o'clock in the morning, and it became super crowded from about nine o'clock in the evening. It got to the point where the dressing room was already packed with people as soon as I entered the bathhouse, and there were no lockers available, so I had to go back to the room. Even if I go there in the morning (it's open from 05:00 to 10:30 in the morning), it's just barely crowded (although there are enough lockers and washing areas, there are only four places in the dressing area and you have to wait). The breakfast part is a buffet, the food area is not big, and the dishes will change slightly every day. Unfortunately, the drinks are not put on ice, and the temperature is at room temperature. There are four choices of soups/staples, (wild vegetable) soup curry, miso soup/egg drop soup/corn soup, and chazuke rice. The breakfast restaurant has the same problem as the bathhouse, that is, it is too small and cannot accommodate a whole building of tourists, making the overall experience disappointing. Not only is the scale of the hardware equipment too small, I personally think that the training and number of employees also need to be strengthened. On the morning of the third day when I was about to have my meal, I arrived at the reception desk of the restaurant. I didn’t see any employees. Even if I pressed the service bell, I still had to wait for five minutes before someone came to greet me. On the first day (early nine o’clock)During breakfast, someone showed us a table and brought us plates. The next day (around early eight o'clock), the waiter had nothing to offer, leaving us to wander around the restaurant with few seats left to look for it. Later, a lot of people came, and more and more used plates were piled up on the table, but no one was there to collect them. In the end, what made us feel the most uncomfortable was the suspected discriminatory behavior of the employees. Before we ate, there was an older Korean couple sitting next to us. They had already finished eating and were sitting and chatting. However, we had just finished the last thing on the plate when a waiter asked us to leave as soon as possible and asked for our understanding. The restaurant is a bit busier today. If there are still passengers waiting for their meals later, I can completely understand and will leave immediately after eating. But today, only Chinese-speaking people are asked to leave? ? (The waiter probably thought the person next to us was Japanese) We must not make people feel treated differently. So overall, I won’t come back next time. There are many beautiful hotels in Sapporo, so you don’t have to suffer. Finally, I would like to remind everyone that the hotel provides a free bowl of soba noodles during dinner. It was only when I was about to check out that I found the piece of paper in the room card holder. The waiter did not inform us when we...

My companion and I approached the front desk to request assistance in cancelling a reservation. A staff member with the name We understand and fully respect that English may not be fluently spoken by all staff, as we are visitors in Japan. However, what we found troubling was the dismissive and unprofessional attitude displayed by the staff member who assisted us.

Throughout the entire interaction, this staff member did not make eye contact with us even once. He also spoke over us in an impatient manner, which came across as highly discourteous and made us feel unwelcome. A second staff member, identifiable by an embroidered bow on her uniform, also approached during the conversation but similarly demonstrated poor attitude and lacked basic hospitality etiquette.

This level of service is unacceptable, and quite frankly, it is not reflective of the high standards we have consistently experienced across Japan. It was especially disappointing given how much we have enjoyed the atmosphere and amenities of Granbell Hotel up until this point.

This interaction has unfortunately left a negative impression, both of your hotel and, by extension, our overall experience in Sapporo. We believe respectful and attentive service should be a baseline expectation, especially in the hospitality industry.

We hope you will take this feedback seriously and address the matter internally, so that future guests may receive the level of service that aligns with Japan’s well-known standards of...

All staffs’ English language skills are poor and not much polite Upon check-in, my partner and me was carrying two large baggages and 5-6 stuffs, the male staff who assisted check-in procedure is not helpful at all, even I asked for his assistance to just hold the lift for us but he had no responses. Interestingly, I saw a female bar tender treated him a glass of beverage when I left the hotel. Is it allowed in this hotel operations that the staff can enjoy cocktails/ wine/ company resources during working hours?

Plus, another male staff is not friendly as well. I assumed him is a managing staff as his suit is more formal and he was with a female trainee. I forgot my room number and my partner was not with me at that moment, I went to front desk and my full name was given to search their datebase. During the conversation, no polite words like please/thank you/ can you… but just ask me questions and instructed me to use new room keys and need to return how many cards to them upon check out. I mean, I am also working on hospitality, I know what’s the procedure and what should I do, I just need you simplely tell me the room number and I am not paying to be instructed or interrogated. I was staying in another granbell Sapporo hotels few days ago, compared to the same price range, the hospitality and professional of the staffs from Granbell susukino hotel are undeniablely disastrous. Plus, I spent more then 20 mins and dial to front desk now but failed to ask for two...

There is an English review at the end of the sentence, so please refer to it In Japan, there is a hotel called "Love Hotel" that specializes in specific purposes. I felt that this hotel was not much different from its quality. Tattooing is prohibited even though there is a large public bath and everyone can enjoy a large bath together. "As a result, I will use the shower in the room, but there is only a hand shower in the room, and there is no rain shower." Also, many of the guests are Chinese and Korean, so you may get a little tired of it. The room is small and there is little room for travel bags. "If you think of it as ""a slightly better version of Dmitry,"" it may be acceptable, but do you want to come to Japan and feel like a backpacker?" If you prefer an ordinary hotel, such as Marriott or Hilton, with a sense of security, I suggest you stay there. This hotel may make a trip to Japan a disappointing memory. In addition, the front desk staff can only speak Japanese, so you will feel the language barrier. There are many good hotels in Sapporo, but I think this hotel is specialized for young couples and tourists from China and South Korea. I booked this hotel in Agoda. 1 X Double Room 17 m²(183 ft²) | NO SMOKING | DOUBLE BED one car The fee is 22,004 yen, including tax. It's worth the price.

The rooms were comfortable, spacious enough, and with awesome views if you’re up on the higher floors. Beds are comfortable and so are the pajamas. Staff is friendly, and all the amenities you need are replenished on time. Location is amazing with the Hosui-Susukino station literally right in front of the hotel. Exit at Gate 4! Also, if you’re concerned about the adult activities happening in Susukino, the hotel is on the outskirts so not really in the main area. Plus, it’s a close walk to the morning market for a taste of kaisendon. The only issue I had with the room was the lack of attention to the dust piling in the nooks and crannies. It was so visible, I tried to wipe most of it with a sanitizer wipe. But it’s bad. Bad for people especially with dust allergies. If the hotel can pay more attention to housekeeping after guests check-out, this would be a 5 star rating for me.

It is a nice hotel with easy access to the Main Street in Sapporo. The corner room was a good choice for two people with baggage. A few things could be improved but overall was quite good! -The sink water pressure is very small and the fridge is not really chilled at all. -There was no fan in the restroom, but they have a room spray. +The onsen on 17th floor was perfect because of the outside tub! +The shared space gets dirty past 11pm (hair and such). +The staff is accommodating and quickly retrieved new towels and trash bags. -The bed is pretty short for an average person and our feet were hanging off at night (164,183cm). It was easy to catch an airport bus around the corner the following day thanks to the directions and time tables they provided. Overall it was a nice easy stay.
