We went for the 70 mins dinner buffet for around ¥8,000 after taxes.
It’s a self serve bbq place where you cook the food you take yourself. The grill seemed a bit flimsy but otherwise it’s alright. The heat is set on high so things cook quickly. You’ll have to cut the meat to ensure that the inside gets cooked, if not it’ll be quite cold.
There’s a large variety to choose from as you can see below. Various cuts of meat, including pork, beef, lamb. They have various cuts of beef as well. Their premium steak is soft and milder on the beef taste. The wagyu cuts are really fatty and good. Though they’re not as flavourful as other beef i’ve had. The marinated meats are really good, I recommend getting the spicy marinated ones and the garlic ones, they really add a lot of flavour to it.
The pork belly I tried wasn’t the best I’ve had, it’s alright not really my favourite. It’s soft, juicy, but it doesn’t have a strong meaty flavour.
For the seafood, there are raw options and cooked ones. I got the cooked king crabs which was massive. It’s slightly sweet, not very strong flavours, but I do like the mildness of it as I can eat a lot of it. I couldn’t really taste much difference in the various types of king crabs, only that the golden king crab was slightly sweeter. Some of the crab shells were really soft so it’s difficult to break the legs with just your hands, so I had to cut it with scissors. But it does taste pretty good with the bbq sauce you can take.
We also tried some shellfish, the oyster and scallop are both pretty good, not the best but still tastes delicious, especially with the bbq sauce. Prawns were good as well, big and satisfying to eat.
For the dessert, there’s a pretty big selection as well. My favourite was the matcha mont blanc. It has a mild matcha flavour with a sweet cream inside, but it’s not overly sweet so it feels like you could eat a lot of it. It’s really creamy. The matcha jelly was pretty good too. Mild matcha, jelly texture, has a nice bite with some resistance which is what I like in a jelly.
They also had a sushi bar but i didn’t try anything there but there’s a decent selection, your classic salmon, tuna, i also saw uni.
Overall it’s a pretty good buffet. Though the meat aren’t the best, I really liked the wide variety of selections. It can be a hassle to cook the food but that’s alright. It is quite expensive though, but I think it’s worth going...
Read moreA bit pricey now but it’s worldwide phenomenon. Please note this restaurant is for pro eater. Most of it self cook and self service. Don’t come back and complaining the server never taught you to grill properly until you burned overcooked it. You need to prepare mentally to maximise the value of what you’re getting. Ok pro tip: Try to book online at their website. You might need to use Japan vpn if you’re booking it from overseas. If it is stated full try to come at the opening time. Normally plenty of seats for small group. They predominantly accept cash. So prepare your yen ready before hand. I saw some tourist using credit card but their payment were unable to get through. When the server show you your table and timer starts, quickly get the raw King crab leg with similar size so that you can lay nicely aligned on top of the bbq burner to maximise the whole surface area of the grill. I would advise not to take other crabs as the taste is definitely less superior. Then still without seated quickly get the sauce and other seafood like prawns, abalone, oysters and scallops. Then get the crab cracker and other cutlery. Get the drinks. Still without sitting flip the crab on the grill quickly go and find food that already been cooked but not too much. Coming back only then take a seat and eat precooked food while waiting for the crab leg to be cooked. Prepare for the next round. Focus. Don’t waste your stomach space with drinks and common cheap items. The battle...
Read moreFirst of all I was appalled at how terribly the reservations and tables were being managed. All they had to do was make reservations for the number of tables they own and checking on when the tables will free up based on the allotted time you are given. But they can't or don't do what every other restaurant is able to do. We had a reservation for a time in the late dinner hours and instead of honoring our reservation time it turned into a giant frenzy of people and it was clear they just wanted to accept the largest groups even if they didn't have reservations. I saw them pass up some of the 2 person groups on the reservation list and even heard the guy running the computer and schedule saying, "hmm only 2 people, no way" in Japanese a few times. Thankfuly the actual lady who took our reservation in the first place agreed to let us in if we shared a table with another party of two. We ended up getting in at least 20 minutes after our reservation only after literally figuring our way through the crowds and convincing them to let us eat. Also having to share a table with random other people is a little crazy especially with the small grill size they have. Thankfully the other people were very amicable or that part could have been a nightmare too. As for the food, the buffet was okay. Kind of like Korean BBQ cook your own meat as much as you want. I wouldn't say it was spectacular but not bad, but the whole reservation getting in part really ruined the...
