Hotel Green Arbor — Hotel in Sendai

Honestly, I feel bad for the city of Sendai that this hotel is in Sendai.||The wallpaper is torn, have writing, bathroom-toilet small, the service terrible.||||We couldn’t onbect my laptop to the internet and called the front desk. Redirected to IT service where we were informed rooms 613, 614, 615 we’re having trouble with internet connection.||Called front desk again to ask to be transferred to another room and was told internet service was not guaranteed due to “weather” issues. No typhoon, just a rainy night, we left the hotel for dinner without any issues.||I pointed out on their homepage free wifi was written and was asked if internet was really neede for an overnight stay?! Said yes. Had someone from front desk come up with a message router and LAN cable which of course my laptop was unable to use (Hello!! LAN cable?)||||It was eventually resolved but as all my interaction was done in Japanese have no idea how a tourist, who definitely needs wifi, would fare. ||||Sendai is a great city, love the food but this “no-omotenashi” hotel really should change management or...

From the description and reviews, I expected this hotel to be as superb as they wrote, but it was a budget hotel in a small, nondescript street. As the taxi turned to quiet streets, I knew what was in store for me. ||The room was strangely arranged with the twin beds not really parallel to each other. Space was quite limited, although 23 sq m was said to be the room space.||Good thing it was within walking distance from a lively area with much shopping opportunities as well as restaurants. Unfortunately, most restaurants didn't have English menus though, and we ended up eating something we didn't know.||Breakfast at the hotel was limited. The lady serving was very industrious and courteous.||Staff in front were very efficient and printed out all that we needed to know at check in. And they kept on running after us for the key.
