A calming, modern kissa (cafe) tucked away on a quiet street. I ended up nursing my iced latte so I could stay longer, the vibes were just so nice. Of course, the food is also delicious. I had the seasonal peach and earl grey shortcake, and it was packed with ripe fruit. They have a lot of single person counter seats, so I think it would be perfect if you just wanted to linger and read. I want to go back and try all the seasonal treats!

Really nice new spot that opened downtown around Kotodaikoen and Hiroseidori! Calm and quiet, beautiful cozy interior with industrial vibes, and nice classical music in the background. The Hojicha Latte and Tiramisu are really good, definitely give them a try!

祝日の夕方にうかがいました。 女性客でほぼ埋まっていましたが、開いているカウンターに座りました。 水は自分でつぐスタイル。 店員さんがメニューにあるケーキは売切でかわりのケーキについて教えてくださいました。 かわりのケーキがブルーベリーのチーズケーキだったので気になり注文。 飲み物は本日の珈琲がコロンビアであったのでそれを注文。 少しして届いたブルーベリーのケーキはチーズケーキ部分はどっしりとしていてブルーベリーはジャムでなく生がのっていてとても美味しかったです。 珈琲はコロンビアだけにあっさり。 店内はその時のお客さんさんの態度によるとは思うのですが、この日は騒がしくて残念でした。 会計時、少し割安になる本日の珈琲を注文したつもりが、普通に注文したことになっていたりとありましたが、事情を話すとすぐ変更して下さいましたし、店員さんの感じも悪くなかったです。 ご馳走様でした。

A cute cafe with natural wood furniture and soft lighting. There is jazz and classical music to accompany your meal or choice of coffee/soft drink from a broad selection. Friendly, English speaking staff are also sometimes available. The rice omelette (omuraisu) does not have very much ketchup in the rice and comes with a crab tomato sauce and sweet demi-glace sauce! A pleasant spin on the original.

Some chairs are noisy when moved and the bathroom door slides open, but there is no sign.

Otherwise a lovely experience and a place...

I’ve been to a lot of cafes in my day, but this is definitely among the best. The atmosphere, layout, and music (they were playing a slow jazz version of White Christmas) was out of this world. As the name indicates, 喫茶久遠(くおん), which means cafe eternity, I certainly felt like time stopped...
