Shiki Club Hida Takayama-so — Hotel in Takayama

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Overall, the hotel was alright. It was clean and comfortable, but I would say for the price the hotel lacked some pretty basic amenities. Rooms don’t include things such as glasses for water, microwaves and there isn’t a shower. The lack of shower isn’t such a big deal as there is the public onsen bath, but it’s quite small and also doesn’t include some of the basic amenities of many onsens in Japan. Hotel isn’t worth the price...

15 minute walk from Takayama station which is not convenient BUT this traditional Japanese hotel (旅館 =Ryokan) is highly recommended! In winter, you can enjoy beautiful snow view inside from the hotel including your room and reastaurant. The hotel is very tidy and clean and the staff are very friendly willing to help you find your stay comfortable!! If you like Japanese food, I am sure you will enjoy both dinner and breakfast...

ワンオペで凄く大変で合理化したのが安さの秘密です。 じゃらんで予約すると決済がオンラインのみです。（カード） これだけで客層が制限されるので、夜遅くまで騒ぐ様な輩も出難いと思います。 ホテルや旅館って客が来なければ受付が暇をしてしまいます。 それって、時間の無駄のようにも思いますよね？ そこで、客数で人員を一人で対応してるのが本宿です。 昼間に部屋の掃除などを済ませる関係で、早めのチェックインが出来ないようです。 その時に予約客用の食事の下ごしらえをしてるみたいです。 受付横に食堂があり、配膳の傍ら受け付けもしてるようです。 その関係で夕飯時にチェックインをしようとすると待たされます

部屋は一人でも6条間＋窓際のフローリング？ 洗面所が横に長い2箇所なので、修学旅行客も見越した部屋なのかな？ トイレはウオッシュレット付きですが、コンセントが抜いてありますので注意が必要です。 風呂は温泉です。

建物の外観は高級旅館といった感じで、中身も含めて良すぎて価格不相応というかコスパが良すぎな感じです。 ただ、立地が街中から少し離れている関係で不便です。 自動車でも一方通行の道沿いなので注意が必要です。 10分くらい歩くとスーパーがあるのかな？ この近辺は外人向けのゲストハウスもあり...
