I booked here on my final night in Tokyo before flying out mostly on the basis of price as despite the prices calming down following the Obon holidays, the hotel rates were still a bit expensive for my liking.||The location of the hotel is a bit away from most of Tokyo, but the Nishi-Kasai station is steps away and provides easy transfers onto most of the JR network as well as the Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway. ||The rooms here are tiny, full disclosure. I booked a double room and the bed itself takes up pretty much all of the space in the room. The only other furnishings in the room are a small chair and table as well as a fold down table to handle any electronics that need to be charged. The room was mostly well kept but I noticed stains on the wall across from the bathroom and also there were a number slit-like holes in the blackout curtain which allowed light to permeate.||The bathroom was even smaller and you could only feasibly have one person in the bathroom at any given time. The design of the toilet was weird as was the design of the shower unit (it was a tub but the shower curtains didn't extend all the way down. There was also a very odd smell in the room that was almost like mold but I couldn't pinpoint the source.||Breakfast in the morning was a complete letdown. The breakfast here charged more (1800 yen) than any of the previous hotels I used but the selection was limited to a few Western options and some Eastern options but what really confused me was the lack of quality. The salmon tasted fishy and most of the dishes were lukewarm and didn't seem especially fresh including the bread selection.||The hotel is quite cheap for the Tokyo area, which is the primary reason why I'm not going below 3 stars here but the mediocre breakfast, tiny rooms, and issues with quality prevent any...
Read moreWe booked the hotel just for the Disneyland shuttle. It was an absolute godsend. There are two departure times in the morning, 8am and 9am. The driver makes two different stops, one at Tokyo Disneyland and one at Disney Tokyo Seas. There are two pickup times at night, 9pm and 10pm. There is only one pickup location at night which is by the side of the road where all the mosquitoes are. It is across the street from the police station, close to the main Disney gift shop in the village. We had the 10pm pickup time so we browsed around there. There's also lots of restaurants and Starbucks in the same complex. You have to make reservations for the shuttle and you can do that right after you book the hotel on their website. You don't even have to prepay for the hotel. I recommend you reserve your spots on the shuttle ASAP as we only had one time to choose from when we booked. Fortunately, it was the time slot we wanted. If you miss the shuttle or want more flexibility, the hotel is only a few minutes walk from Nishikasai train station.
The hotel has snack time from 10pm to 2am so if you didn't have time or money to eat enough in Disneyland, you can head to the cafeteria room for a nightcap. We also elected to purchase the breakfast buffet for two days. It was great sustenance before our whole day at the park.
The rooms themselves are compact but space efficient enough that you don't feel claustraphobic. Lots of hangers and cubbies on the walls. The hotel has many amenities that you can help yourself to in the lobby, including slippers and bathrobes to keep yourself feeling fresh. The workers were very nice and accommodating. The...
Read moreThe staff are all extremely friendly and polite and all speak English. They are always going above and beyond to be helpful.
They do offer free rides to Tokyo Disneyland, via a hotel shuttle bus, but only at 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30am. They also do offer rides back to the hotel, but also at fixed times. You need to reserve a ride to and from the hotel to Tokyo Disneyland in advance.
I got assigned to the third floor. I can hear people opening doors and talking in the hallways although I am in my room with the door closed. So if you are sensitive to sound, this may be a problem. The beds and pillows are also a bit on the harder and flatter side, so if you like plush beds, it may be a problem. Right next door is a grilled meat restaurant, so the smell is very delicious yet strong. If you want to leave the window open and are sensitive to smell, this may be a problem (although the smell is very delicious). The soap, shampoo and conditioner all smell delightful and are of good, standard quality. I have stayed here for one day so far, and the majority of the guests are foreigners.
The location is extremely great, as you can walk 30 seconds to a Lawson, and 1 minute to the train station. The neighborhood area seems very safe.
Overall, this is a nice standard hotel, and is good especially if you are going to Tokyo Disneyland or for a short stay.
Edit: The very next day I notified the front desk about the sound issue and they were very quick to fix the issue. They moved me to a quieter floor and provided...
