If you're staying alone in Tokyo and just need a place with a roof and a bed, this place isn't half bad for the cost.
Service is excellent. The staff don't speak great English, but they were polite and willing to help out with anything I needed. Linens were well-managed, no worry about bed bugs, replacement towels were supplied often.
This hotel is an extremely short distance from the Nishi-Kasai station on the Tozai Line. You can directly transfer once from the Keisei Line at Nishi-Funabashi essentially to your hotel after an hour's train ride. Makes handling luggage very simple compared to the distance from stations for other similarly priced hotels.
Another great thing about this hotel is its entrance. The ground floor is just for the elevators which can take you directly to your floor without going through the lobby, which is on the second floor.
But the hotel is old and poorly maintained. The rooms are old, the provided appliances are old, everything is rather old. There were stains on the floor all across the halls leading into the rooms. I tried to wash my clothes with the in-unit coin laundry units, but for me at least they didn't do a great job. It's a smoking hotel, and while there are smoking and non-smoking room, the whole place smells of smoke. If that bothers you, you might not want to stay.
But I'm not upset about booking here. Even with all of my concerns, the price per night and the service provided is just that good to assuage it all. Your walk here from the station is just past a 7-Eleven, and there's a Lawson catty corner. Maybe the epitome of a...
Read more"Poor Value for Money - Not RecommendedThe hotel fell short of expectations in multiple ways:Room Issues:- Initial room was extremely dark with a window facing a building less than a meter away- When requesting a room change due to poor lighting, they suggested renting a lamp for extra cost- After an hour of negotiation, they agreed to change our room the next day, despite our eye strain concerns- The second room had better lighting but was very small- Constant noisy bathroom ventilation fan that couldn't be turned off disrupted sleepDining Problems (see attached photo):- Despite paying for breakfast, they refused to provide a meal for our daughter- Limited food options with only one daily menu- No alternatives offered for my wife's seafood allergy - she could only have juice- As Muslim guests, when we requested non-pork options, they simply removed the pork without providing substitutes- Food quality was disappointing overall, as shown in the attached photo- The portion size and presentation were poor for the priceAdditional Concerns:- No English-speaking staff, making communication difficult- Hotel entrance was poorly marked and unprofessional- Price was excessive compared to other hotels we stayed at, with significantly lower service qualityGiven these issues, I cannot recommend this hotel. The high room rate does not justify the poor service and inflexible policies. Future guests, especially families with dietary requirements or those expecting standard hotel amenities, should consider...
Read moreWe were in room 411 everything was uncomfortable, everything was so untidy. We regret we checked in on that hotel. The floor mat is old. The water that dried up from the floor-mat is visibly disgusting. The room is small and I do not have problems with the size. But again the floor-mat is disgustingly old. When we entered the room you’ll notice the smell of maybe the old carpet? Or the cigaret? I don’t know. And on the floor you can see tha mark of a burnt floor-mat from a cigaret. We’re not able to park on the exact building because we didn’t know parking will be closing by 10pm. We are so tired going back twice so we could be on the right parking place which has a cheaper price. I wasn’t able to take pictures because we were not happy about our room. I wanted to change place but I guess we are too tired of doing that. The Staffs are kind and friendly thou but it won’t change the fact that the room is...
