Clean, nice bedding and towels, decor pleasant. The rooms for single travelers are small, though, about 10m2 with desk, TV, serviceable open wifi but my Ethernet cord was non-functional. Pretty interior courtyard and window shades. Small hidden fridge so not noisy. Bathroom pretty luxury-typical for Japan, with heated toilet-bidet, great shower in tub, bathtub fills fast as it's 1/2 European size but spotless. The room and 4th floor carpets, furniture are redolent of stale cigarette smoke. The only non-smoking rooms are larger rooms with two twin beds that cost 3000 yen more than the single does per night. Reception can lend you an electronic air "cleaner" which seemed ineffective or a humidifier if for some reason you would want one. A/C quiet and effective. Tea and electric kettle provided daily, clean towels and a unisex night shirt. I didn't take breakfast for 1900 yen a day as there are 7/11 convenience stores about 400m in each direction.||The bus 05-2 towards Tokyo Big Sight (convention center) lets off closest to hotel from Ginza bus stop 8, for 210 yen, but make sure you aim for right destination as there is another terminus possible for the same bus. The stop is the next to last one, something-Ferry, and you cross the street and the hotel is just behind a well-lit restaurant called Anniversaire. It's clean and attractive but in Europe would be a 3 not 4 star hotel. Also about 400m from the Tokyo Big Sight station of the aboveground "subway" that is the newest line, circling this international conference center/mall/port area and then taking you to the lively Shinbashi area. There is a fairly attractive walking promenade along the middle between two parallel major roads, going E to W roughly. Darkish at night but seemingly very safe if a bit boring and deserted after 10 pm. Hotel...
Read moreThe hotel is located in Odaiba, not very Japanese but a fun place to visit, shop and eat. The hotel is located about 350 meters from the nearest station, the U11 on the Yurikamone Line and a 12 minute walk to one of the main attractions – Palette Town.||Check in and out was quick and efficient.||The room is medium sized (Japanese standard) a bit dark and old fashioned in need of renovation. Functional with ample space to work at the desk with a small hanging closet, small one seater couch, fridge, water kettle, outlets, aircon, free WIFI (that worked fast and dependable) small flat screen TV (situated in such a way that you couldn’t view it while lying down in bed).||Bed and pillows very comfortable. Had a good night’s sleep even though my room was right opposite the monorail line.||Not all lights could be controlled from the bed. I found the room dark (as mentioned) even with all the lights on. ||Bathroom nice and clean (also a bit dark) with strong flow in shower, small bath, nice amenities and good (but small) towels.||Selection at breakfast was decent but the dining room, like the guest room, needs a renovation. The dining room is quite small and crampy and at 07:20 (20 minutes after opening), the room was already full with people waiting on line for a free table. ||Price was good so overall...
