Laffitte Hirai Condominium Hotel — Hotel in Tokyo

Forgot to write a review on this after being in Japan for nearly three weeks back in October 2024.

Asides from some of the poor reviews it wasn't that bad of a place to live in all while experiencing and exploring a new part of the world for the first time in nearly a decade. What you pay for in my opinion is essentially a place that feels home-like (mainly like an apartment) once you've lived in Japan by the third week (full disclaimer my family trip was three weeks)

I was open to how different households, apartments, and condos were so the fact that the place was space-efficient was ridiculous for me to understand at first.

The Lawson across the street is a pretty nice touch alongside all the vending machines around, I know nearly 3-4 months later there's a building that was under construction next to that convenience store that is hopefully done being built.

It's a 10-15 (at most 20) minute walk to the train station and overall there's a lot of cool local cuisines and stores you can find around Hirai.

I'm hoping to return to Japan sometime this year (200%) as well as revisit this part of Japan as well, I miss everything about it dearly as a foreigner and hope the locals around there whom I've came to met and interact with here and there are doing...

This hotel/Airbnb is terrible. It’s basically a garage that has been converted into an apartment. The walls are unpainted concrete. Theres a garage door in the living room that lets all the noise in and i think theres a fire department nearby, sirens all night long… probably the heat escape from there too The wifi has horrible coverage. (Best signal in toilet) Theres a wire in the middle for a tv antenna… I believe theres bed bugs, this morning a friend woke up with a rash on their leg, there was also red spots on 3/4 beds and they are cheap uncomfortable...

Please consider a different stay.

Be careful when booking, this is NOT a hotel, but similar to an Airbnb. There are no staff on site nor elevators in the building. The stairs to access your room is very narrow and it’s very easy to hit your head when entering.

The rooms are NOT cleaned. We found dust on our bed frames, under surfaces, dirt on/inside our kitchen appliances, and utensils, the list goes on.

Upon entering You will be hitting your head a lot, there is little to no protection, we cut our arms multiple times walking...
