Fantastic location. Near lots of facilities, shops and JR stations Okubo and Shin-Okubo.
However, the room is VERY SMALL and will barely fit 2 suitcases (we had 3 people and the 3rd suitcase was luckily small so we were comfortable enough). The shower, although mostly fine, sometimes hard to control the temperature because the heater control is outside of the shower. Just have to be aware of that because it sometimes got really hot. Could use a few more hooks in the place too.
Entry into the room is easy and I like that it's just by code, so you don't have to worry about losing keys. Just no room service and laundry machine doesn't do drying. However, dryers open at 6am nearby.
Good for a budget stay but not really a 3-star hotel. More...
Read moreRoom was clean except for a tissue under the bed. Size is decent, there is enough space to open 2 luggages after shifting some furniture around. Toilet and shower is also very clean, however shower is very small. There is enough space to stand straight and shower, but not enough space to maneuver the towel to wipe body dry or wear clothes inside. So take note will need to step out of the shower into the room. Warm water comes quickly and the water pressure in the shower is very strong. Plenty of towels were provided. Free wifi is not strong. Hotel easy to find and self check in instructions were clear. Walking distance from the mrt and many food options around. There is family mart, 7-11 and donki nearby and a microwave in the room....

The location was optimal in Shinjuku, some 300 meters from a metro stop, and located next to nice shops. Of course, in cheap hotels like these ones, insulation is not the best. Our last night was simply horrible due to some loud tourists on the upper floor, which essentially meant we weren’t able to sleep. In a nutshell, if you have very low expectations and want to save on a budget, this hotel is a good...
