I had a wonderful experience! My flight arrived very late at night, but the hostel was accommodating and allowed me to flexibly arrive whatever time I could by using the automated check-in/out machine. It was easy to use, and had instructions in English too.
Like other reviews have noted, it’s very clean for a hostel and also provides towels and slippers free of charge. There are plenty of toilets and showers kept to good working standard as well as hairdryers for use.
The dormitory was the perfect temperature, and each bed has a blackout blind divider for privacy and light reduction. As a female solo traveller, I felt completely safe in the female dormitory and walking about the hostel by myself. The rooms have key cards, and the front door is locked by a code.
There are also plenty of common spaces to relax in like the lobby or corridors, and there are chargers here if you want to stay in these areas for a bit instead of chilling in the dorm.
It was very easy to get to from the airport, either a 30 minute straight walk out of Terminal 3, or you can take a taxi. My S-Ride taxi was ¥1,300 at 00:30am on Thursday morning.
I always received a prompt response when emailing staff before my visit, and was kindly greeted in the morning by a pleasant receptionist. I couldn’t have asked for anything more from a hostel like this! 🫶🏼
Edit: There’s also an airport shuttle bus stop that goes from right outside...
Read moreI arrived late from the airport and it was super easy to check in using the side entrance and the machine to check in the room was nicely air-conditioned, and the pods in my shared hostel room was very spacious and very comfortable. The showers were very nice and they provide shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. However, when I went to check out in the morning, there was no one to check out with this didn’t end up being a problem as I went and got breakfast and when I came back, checked out by then they’d also clean the room, which was lucky as they found my AirPod Case. I’d forgot on the way out, and the guy handed to me at reception and I checked out then. Hotel is also five minutes from a lovely shrine which I went and saw at midnight. It was completely empty and very peaceful but still open. There is multiple convenience stores nearby for a quick bite...
Read moreAs we had a late arrival at Haneda we decided to stay near the airport instead of trying to make a dash for downtown Tokyo. Plat Hostel Keikyu Haneda Home seemed to fit the bill and it turned out to be a great choice. Checking in (& out) was a breeze with their smart facilities. The hostel was very clean and well maintained. Our overriding concern was over the idea of shared bathrooms but to our relief it didn’t turn out to be a problem at all. Employing its much vaunted high tech to its bathrooms the results were pretty amazing. There was a foot massager in the room which we happily spent some time enjoying! There are lots of eateries around but we wanted to experience our first taste of the famous bento in Japan - an experience we didn’t manage to repeat later on this trip. The hostel was an excellent...
