Our second time to Kinosaki but our first stay at a traditional Japanese ryokan and was better than imagined. This is the cheapest of the quality accommodation in Kinosaki and just off the main canal street. Owner doesn't speak much English but she is very kind and helpful and gave us lovely gifts when we left. This was $70-80 cheaper a night than similar accommodation. Only found on booking.com and they have Japanese staff who can contact owner if needed, but she replied very promptly to all our emails in English and we had no problems, even when we had to change our booking, due to the super typhoon.||Bedding comfy and cute little balcony to have a green tea or wine. The hotel is meticulously tidy, the room was very traditional and extremely comfortable. As an added bonus the room was quite large by Japanese hotel standards.
