城崎温泉カフェ Cafe&Bar 3rd — Restaurant in Toyooka

Kinosakionsen doesn't have much vegan options plus even less that aren't on the pricier shojin ryori side. But this little restaurant offers a simple but great inexpensive curry meal option. The cook was suoer friendly and despite not offering to take-away they prepared some extra ones to take out after we explained how difficult it was to find vegan meals.

Note that despite being on ground level, can be difficult to spot!

We arrived at Kinosakionsen hungry and were glad to have found Cafe&Bar 3rd. My partner and I ordered the chicken curry set and Kobe beef hamburger steak set. They were delicious and the prices were fair. Service was especially good as we had a mishap on the dining table and the staff quickly helped to take care of it without any fuss. Stopped by for a beer after the onsen rounds and wow it hit the spot! 🍺 The staff were so warm and welcoming, such good vibes all around. The place feels modern, which is a nice change of pace. Kinosaki has plenty of great cafés, but bars are limited. If you’re looking for drinks and casual bites (non-seafood) made with local premium Wagyu, this is the spot....
