i stayed there with my family for 2 nights. it is only 5-10min walk away from the JR station. it was a pity that the nearest hot spring is a rather simple one among the 7 ouside hot spring spots. the staffs are friendly. the space is clean. the amount of food provided are very plenty and I especially like the deep fried fish they made and also the quality of rice is very good. you will fall in love with them if you are a fish-lover. You will try various fish dishes in one stay. i don't know if it is common for all other Japanese hostel but I am appreciated they offer a cup of coffee everyday and it is essential to us. ||It is near the railway and we can see the train passby thru the window , it is funny if you don't mind the noise. Read moreOkawa is a great ryokan to stay at. They will make sure your stay is very enjoyable and comfortable! We booked two nights with breakfast and dinner and we got a great sized room in traditional Japanese style with futon beds. During dinner and breakfast, they would make up the room for us, either converting it from sitting room to bedroom or back from bedroom to sitting room. There is no bathroom included, only a private toilet and wash stand, but since the nearest onsen is across the street and open from 7 am to 11 pm, we had no problems with that. Entry to all 7 public onsen in Kinosaki is included in your stay. The breakfast and dinner were Japanese style too, very good and enjoyable, even though fish and rice for breakfast are a bit of a switch for us. We really enjoyed our stay and cannot recommend them enough, the Okawa's (a husband and wife) are lovely...
