Everything wonderful here. The location twenty minutes walk from Station and close to the Lake, away from the crowds, close to the mountains that you can climb a little, the stylish modern and comfortable interior design, the extremely kind and lovely front desk lady, the two ♨️ hot springs that are private and you will use them alone or with your group. As the door gets locked, other customers might have to wait so you better try them out as soon as you see they are open. Also nice to see that the spring gets washed and emptied every day, the water is not too hot probably to accommodate overseas guests that are the majority customers here. Clean rooms with all amenities you might need and more available downstairs like toaster and microwave, kettle is also in your room as well as fridge. Another really good thing is that they write in many places to keep quiet after 11pm and while using the stairs and corridors since the building is made of wood and it's easy to disturb other customers. Thanks to that we could have a good quiet sleep. It is really important that the hotel makes customers aware! I stayed in many places where people were not informed to keep quiet and were laughing till late at night in their rooms, especially foreigners. There is a fancy restaurant on the other side of the road that you should reserve early on, most of the shops here close very early so at 7 pm there are not many places to go eat!! Luckily the Lawson Convenience store is just behind Etavia on the main road and you don't need to walk to far to get provisions. Had lunch at the pretty building that everyone takes pictures of, on the other side of the Lake, where surprisingly few tourists think to go to and it was really delicious, nice staff, very quiet elegant atmosphere...
Read moreSuperb hotel with amazing onsen! Friendly and laid-back service, the rooms were very clean with their own toilet and mini fridge. I believe only guests can use their onsen which is 24h. Shampoos and towels provided. There are two onsen, outdoor and indoor, they are used as private so when you are in you just lock the door.
Outdoor onsen: situated at the courtyard, has a neat changing area with a washbasin, mirror, cotton buds, hair dryer and air condition. Two places with shower heads, mirror and stool to wash yourself. The tub is made of big tiles and it is small-medium size, covered with a roof. You can control the hot water coming in.
Indoor onsen: large changing area with two washbasins, mirror, hair dryer and cotton buds. Four spaces with shower heads, mirror and stools to wash yourself. The tub is big size, made of wood. The floor is made of big stone tiles and the walls are mostly out of wood. A whole part of the wall are two big windows. Transparent water.
All the facilities were very clean, hotel and onsen very recommended.

Read moreNice location - 3 mins walking distance to kinrin lake and yufuin floral village. Just next door is Lawson convenience store. However located on main road, can be noisy and busy from traffic. There is a small lift with only 200 kgs capacity. The room we book is 2 storey with a double bed downstairs and 2 double beds upstairs. Fits 5 of us. Just that the room is cramp and small without shower, only sink and sitting bowl. If you want to shower, need to go down to 1st floor small public hot spring bath/pool within the hotel. For men, only can accommodate 2 pax at one time. Same floor as the hot spring, there's a dining area with free coffee and tea, hot and cold water with some basic kitchen cutleries and equipment for heating up your food. Room not too clean, a bit smelly and has mosquitoes. There's four free parking space at the hotel and many restaurants/cafe and souvenier shops nearby, however in the hotel, there's absolutely nothing. Check out time is 10 am. For the price paid, it's a bit expensive considering the amenities...
