the receptionist provided extremely bad service. today i went to the restaurant by 2ish. In fact, there are a table for 6 available and there were some people waiitng for the bills. Only 2 of us were waiting for the table. it was cold and raining and the receptionist asked us to wait outside. Then, after 5 min, some people finished their lunch and left. so we got a table. She guided me to a table for 4 but she asked me to have lunch for 1 hour only(this is not fast food please and i was not paying the price for fast food too). I had no clue why she had to set up such rule for me becasue i could see there were many tables available. anyway... when i ordered food, she took my orders in very impolite tone. When we were having our lunch, she guided other customers sitting at the table next to us but I couldnt see that she told them to finish the lunch in 1 hour. At the end, the table for 6 was still available and no one took it during my lunch. frankly speaking, food is not as good as what the comments mentioned about. you can try if you are in yufurin but please dont expect too much. I believe too many tourists visiting there and so they lower their food quality...
Read moreWhat an inconsistent place. It must be, due to some reviews saying it is great.
There's an instruction on how to eat it. In it, they also mentioned adding soup into the charred bits.
What charred bits? The rice was a soggy mess. It was either taken out too quickly or they added too much water.
As I was going to pay, I took a peek at some other table's claypots. One had the charred parts, the other was like mine. I am accustomed to claypot rice in my country and soggy rice would get you struck out immediately.
I ordered the bungo beef and the unagi one. The unagi was so rubbery but the flavour is actually good. What a pity. It must have been overgrilled or something. This is the first time ever I had eaten rubbery eel.
The bungo beef was good but its sauce was so mild that the rest of the soggy rice had not much flavour. I tried adding more beef sauce but it didn't help. I decided to just use the unagi sauce instead.
I actually like the Service a lot. The Lady server saw that my Baby was fussing and lent us a fan which kept her cool and brought down her fussing.
Sorry, but to be inconsistent is unforgivable. I wouldn't visit again unless there are...
Read moreTOTALLY RUINED MY LOVE FOR JAPAN.
Japan is supposed to be known for its top-tier manners and hospitality, but this restaurant was the complete opposite — it shattered that image in the worst way.
Disaster of a Queue System – Absolutely no proper queue management. The staff gave zero instructions and acted like they couldn’t care less. On top of that, they were straight-up rude.
Dirty and Disorganized Tables – When we entered, the tables weren’t even cleaned or properly set up for 3 or 4 people. The staff? Completely ignorant and unbothered.
Horrible Service – When the food came, the staff didn’t even bother asking who ordered what. They just dumped it on the table and walked off. I had to move a scorching hot pot myself — super dangerous and unacceptable.
Food Was an Overhyped Joke – Fooled by the hype on Xiao Hong Shu. Everything was overpriced and underwhelming. The beef was like chewing rubber, the unagi was dry and overcooked, and only the chicken was barely decent.
This place was a total letdown and an embarrassment to what Japan is...
