Review: Caravan Coffee Yufuin (キャラバンコーヒー由布院館) ⭐ 4.5 / 5
This charming coffee shop in Yufuin is a true hidden gem. The atmosphere is cozy and nostalgic, with antique teacups, vintage decor, and a lovely garden view that gives a peaceful countryside vibe.
The drinks are served in elegant porcelain cups, each with its own personality — a delightful touch that makes you feel like you're having tea at a friend’s house. The black coffee was smooth and aromatic, while the hot milk drink was rich, creamy, and beautifully presented with whipped topping and a side of sparkling water.
The cheesecake was light and fluffy with just the right sweetness — perfect to pair with coffee or tea. What made this experience even more special was the elderly gentleman behind the counter, who carefully crafted each drink with passion and a warm smile.
If you're visiting Yufuin and looking for a relaxing spot to enjoy a quiet moment with quality coffee and homemade sweets, Caravan Coffee is a must-visit. Come for the drinks, stay for...

The owner does not like it if you order an iced americano but he will still make it lol.
They have a collection of old style fancy china with the music in the background sipping on it makes you feel like you're posh upper-class...

The garden was very nicely arranged, it’s really beautiful. Please take a look for yourself.
Unlike many places in Japan where either the caffeine or taste is not there, this place has both and a very nice environment to come along with it.
If I ever pass by yufuin again, I’ll have my coffee here without a...
